They are not shielded, I would think most people dont have tube tvs or CRT monitors any more. Andrew I still rock both. In short there is a shield around the magnets to prevent picture distortion in CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) monitors.

Build as much as you can outside of the trunk then assemble in the trunk.

Might want to mention if they are shielded or not.

What part are you talking about it? That a speaker needs to break in so it will last a long time, then no its a myth. Or That a speakers suspension will loosen up with play time, then yes.

Not hard to find one. http://www.kenwoodusa.com/UserFiles/File/Global/Consumer/Manuals/KDCX589.pdf -
Sounds about right, looks like a good amount of port area, you'll have ~14in^2/ft^3.
-
I wouldn't use the same box unless you changed the ports. Just some quick calculations its tuned close to 40hz.

For a BL i would use a double baffle. Not doing the 45's will change the enclosure entirely, from box volume to port length, which both will have an effect on tuning.

Thats gross volume, you will need to give up more space if you want to go ported to account for port displacement.
