15 Q is exactly what you are looking for, but dont run it more then 1500 watts unless u are careful on gains and volumn...

That I wanna see!

BTW, if anyone cares about who I am, my name is Brad. I worked 4 years on various other websites that have since been sold and changed doing jobs from content manager to operations manager on a 1+ million page views a month site. I have woked with various people from sites such as IGN and GamersHell. I have a certificate in CCNA and 2 years of Network engineering. However, I decided I dont like the solitude of working on computers all day and henseforth, I am currently a manager at Wal-Mart. Oh, and yes, I am canadian and I do say eh. So if I do it, I apologize! I am happy to be helping Jacob and killing some of my time as well. Hopefully I can help him to make his site better in the future and assist him with anything I can!

I am still building it so it is under construction still. My day off my regular job is tomorrow, so I will be working on it for a good many hours tomorrow. I know some of my thoughts for the future are a coppermine setup. For now, I do all the work.

Obviously Noticeably louder...

Iraggi Alternator Dakota Selection HO Alternators Mean Green selection That ought to get you started!

I second the Bl start. Kick it off with a BL and a SAZ1500D. Be gentle on the gains and be kind on the volumn. If you want more, toss in another BL and another SAZ1500D. Then you are not going overboard to start with and you have the option of having a great system to work with if you do move up to the second... And there are a few people running over 1500 Watts to a BL, just be smart about it and get it fully loaded!
-
Just out of curiosity, why dont you go with a pair of BL 15's. Should fit in 6 cubes, should handle 3k RMS with upgrades, will cost you about 100$ less ($678 for 2 full loaded BL's vs $756 for 4 SSD 12's no options--Add another $20 for copper), and is close in actual cone area... Obviously up to you, but I am just tossing you a suggestion...
-
Just for reference sake, the Alternator on the 1.6L Aveo (2005) is 85Amps...
-
Fixed... Let us know how the BL's sound The sundown is better warranty, likely cheaper, and strappable. If you are running 2, I would suggest the 2 Sundowns strapped and dual 1Ohm woofers ran at 1 Ohm.

And may I ask where you got your cadence comps and what you think of them?
-
I am fairly sure you cannot have the coils together, though I may be wrong... You are very right. My friend sent me the thing saying both. My bad. ok so jus the flatwind. You will be better off with the copper, it will allow the sub to drop lower and because you are only feeding it about 600Watts per sub, you wont need the flat (which increases power handling).

Damn a 75.2 sounds about right for my PRS's...
-
I got it. I've been sick this week with the flu so response time is delayed. Haha, I knew you were not ignoring me!
-
I am just checking if you got my PM, I have seen you on, but not sure if you just missed it or are ignoring me. BTW, I dont think you are ignoring me!
-
Lol, closer to 24000+6BL's = Holy Crap
-
So they are running 4k watts per BL? Will they be able to handle that? And damn, that will be fused at 500 Amps per Amplifier. 3k Amps! Holy God!
-
I have searched but not really found anything that really tells me what it is, how to reduce it, and how it affect everything. I figured brilliant sublike people around here would have some ideas...
-
Are you sure you are actually running at 2 Ohms? Did you check with multimeter?
-
If sundown has an agreement to sell with them, I am sure they are a decent company...
-
How come it drops off so bad at 60 Hz where other subs do not? http://bigbassman.realmofexcursion.com/sub/ssd.htm

Anyone else have some more input? I am still thinking... Will a BL10 on 1700 watts sound loud?? (Kinda subjective I know but fair question)
-
I have a sundown 1500 that I will be getting soon, but I am trying to decide if I should go with the Sundown and a 15" BL fully loaded or if I should buy 1 10" BL fully loaded and wait probably 8 months for another sundown and BL 10". So can anyone tell me what the 10" BL sounds like, i have never heard a 1700 Watt 10" sub before...
