You def need to upgrade, 15 amp alt is not gonna cut it!
-
It has been a week, give it at least a month or 2...
-
Any update on the possible release of the next models of amps?

Me too, I think a 250.2 and a pair of Sonance components will play a nice one! -
How much did it go for Jake?
-
Mike, the amp is 100% when you got it, Stop by my place tomorrow after 3:30 and we will take a look at it.
-
That hits the nail on the head...

IMO, you made a good choice. You will be happy with the SAE-1000. They will be very similar performance wise, both are underrated, but you will get a better warranty and customer service with Jacobs Sundown. Look at this thread for how to do settings: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=164826 http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63933

I have 3 here i believe, I dont use them on my amps either. Stop by some time and get one... And bring me a present for my time...

We have a 1500 in a Lebaron, 90 Amp alt, 2 gauge to amp, redtop up front, big 3 in 2 gauge. Handles it just fine at 1 ohm.
-
Why risk it unnecessarily? I think 3k per BTL should be just fine. With that electrical you should be at or just above the 3k per amp, but I am not sure that it would hold the voltage at 1/2 ohm each.

If you have a pair of dual 2's (as in 2 subs) you will wire them at 2 ohms (with a series/parallel combination). If you have a VERY sturdy electrical you can have dual 1 and strap at 1ohm for 1/2 ohm each but lose your warranty. I would recommend dual 2 ohm and strap the amps at 2 ohms...

Or you can hit me up as Steve is not on here as much as I am (I work for him). -
Would you guys buy amps or subs off ebay?
Silverbane replied to Lifted03Silverado's topic in General Audio
Trust me, I have more subs then I have a place to use them. Treo == iPhone predecessor != sub On an AUDIO forum, Treo = Treo Engineering = http://www.treoonline.com/ = subs Denim, if you are looking to get rid of a sub or two, I have a few spaces open... -
I would say SSD's with copper coils. Been hearing nothing but good about them...
-
I feel your pain, as far as I know, I am the only one in my area with Sundown right now. It is hard to change people's minds... Even harder when you dont currently have a substage in your car... SAX-100.2 and kicker ks69's dont really wow people...

I can't figure out, from the manual, how to wire a single DVC 4ohm to the 1000D? Can someone help? The +'s and -'s are internally bridged, so if you are looking for 2 ohm on a single woofer, you can wire it so both of the positives on the amp goto the +'s on the woofer and both the -'s on the amp goto the -'s on the woofer.
-
How about a pair of Mag D2's on one 3000D. Will be very loud and sound good doing it!
-
I know jacob has stickers, I think he charges $5 shipping for a window banner and some small ones. He will respond soon!

There are pics of all the protos on the website under rides: other pictures. Check them out.

I second the 6k Jake. I would love to see one!
-
Nope, you read right. I just twisted the end VERY tightly and it slipped right in. The terminals on those amps have around a 1/4" opening, so that's why I tried it. And I had the wire just collecting dust. The "dirty" side of this install doesn't look pretty, but is functional. I'm only worried about making the cabin look clean. I always hear that ugly is loud, so I want to find out If you can fit it in there, it will be fine. I use 4 on mine...

Is that your gf? She is HOT!

I might give the RD 3 ways a try when they release soon...
