That box is specifically designed to have a flat response curve. If you'd like to modify the plans for an SPL application, be my guest
-
about 3 cubes after all displacement (slightly less) and 34hz tuning.
-
The outer diminsions of the box work out to 3.234 The port displaces 0.792 The wood that creates the port displaces 0.194 The sub itself displaces .2 The total internal volume after all displacement is 2.148, which is right on the money (nick recommends 2.0 @ 29hz). Good job....but next time I'm not gonna do your math for you
-
they're....um.....well......uh you don't have to predrill?
-
As you can tell, I like this one a lot.
-
Finally, one that's not square or regular wedge
-
did you buy the one that was already built? if so, it should ship out tommorrow or wednesday. otherwise, i'll have to check my records.
-
Kicker? Must be one of those new "underground companies" Good luck....maybe one day you guys will get as big as Stereo Integrity
-
it is a bit on the small side, but not everyone has room for 4 cubes in their trunk. when designing boxes for the masses i usually try to take that into consideration. if you'd like me to design one for you that's slightly larger or tuned differently, hit me up with an email and i'll see what i can do.

ED A box is sold. still have the 1.5 sealed and the mag 15 if anyone is interested!
-
i have plans for a d2 box i can sell ya for $10 (picture below), but it's not down-firing. i can custom-design you some plans for $15, exactly to your specs. if you're interested either way, hit me up at [email protected] or fill out the quote request form on my website and put "plans only" in the msg. field. you need ~2 cubes after displacement for the 12". i've found that anything less tends to lose some low end. another nice trick is to flange the port walls by about a quarter inch at each end....i dunno why that works so well with this sub, but it does I really feel sorry for the poor little beatle...she's going to take a beating

I like screws.... unless of course you'd like to buy me a DeWalt pnumatic stapler
-
As of today I also have both a Magnum 15 box (posted plans for this one a while back on ca.com) and an ED A 15 box (built to the specs on ED's website). I'll let either one go for $130+shipping if anyone is interested.

Gnome Audio - I own **** mofo, so I gotta give mad love to myself (kinda like masturbation, i suppose) RE - My homies till the end. I love everything they make and I know that if I'm ever dissatisfied with anything, David will make it right. Cadence - Badass amps. Nuff Said. Planet Audio - Maybe slightly overrated, but very solid and great looking amps. Stereo Integrity - Nick makes some pretty amazing drivers. My two best-selling boxes of all time are for his subs. Pioneer - I don't care what anybody says, still the best looking, most functional HU's for the price. However, I wouldn't piss on one of their subs or amps to put out a fire. Elemental Designs - I haven't had much experience with their drivers except the K and Kx, but both are VERY solid and sound great. I'm actually getting to the point where I suggest the Kx over the regular K's, especially in low power installs. Audio Art - They went out of business a few years ago, but their amps are still the best on the planet, IMO. Their HC line is what got me interested in SPL in the first place. If you ever see a 50HC, 100HC, 120.2 or 240.2 for sale on ebay or otherwise, let your old pal Donn know. I'm starting a collection

Gnome Audio is located in Wellston Ohio. Shipping varies by weight and dimensions. I sent one to havertown, PA today that cost more than one in the same shipment that went to california. my zipcode is 45692 if you'd like to check it out for yourself.

Thanks for the support guys! I'll do my best to field any box questions you might have. Yeah, my s/n on most other forums is LoneRanger, but I figured since I have my own lil forum here, I should probably use my business name. As far as SS inclosures go, I have a few designs, but I've never really perfected the art myself. I'm thinking about doing a small project in the near future to maybe hone my skills in this particular area.

Nah, it's .75 masonite. i could have got away with .5 on that one.

Duel 15A box. 1" face. If I'm not mistaken, the guy uses the pic of this box in his avatar on ca.com.
