Nice setup you got there. Great review as well..

Thank you Denim.. Here is a part of the review that I just typed up for Mark, its my croosover points that where also tested.. Freq ranges from 60HZ-4KHZ 60-80: Very deep bass responds for a 6-1/2 driver, This driver goes really deep in bass I could recommend this for a computer bass speaker and can also be used in a 3way system either in car or home.. 80-200: Still really great midbass at this crossover point, nice and powerful bass in this range as well as great imaging. I really like this point the most and this is where I currently run at: 80HZ highpass. 200-500HZ: This speaker still liked this crossover point, I think it liked it better then at 80HZ but that is personal preference. Nice midrange but missing some of the bass that I like the most from this driver. Still great imaging none the less. 500-1500HZ: Nice midrange and great imaging lacking in the bass but at this crossover point I would this driver as a midrange instead of the midbass, I have found no peaks at all yet.. 1500-2500HZ: Again nice imagine and great midrange, still no peaks up to this point even on bass heavy songs and jazz. Almost seems as if this driver doesn

Mark, yes I did. I played with the crossover at different freq ranges from 60HZ-4KHZ and I will now type out all of my jot point.. 60-80: Very deep bass responds for a 6-1/2 driver, This driver goes really deep in bass I could recommend this for a computer bass speaker and can also be used in a 3way system either in car or home.. 80-200: Still really great midbass at this crossover point, nice and powerful bass in this range as well as great imaging. Hey guys, I am maybe looking at doing a Diy component set using the Mli-65 Mach speakers. Right now I currently have 5 1/4inch Alpine type S speakers in Q-logic kickpanels becuase my car is a 94 cavalier which only supports 3 1/2 speakers, so I bought the kicks instead, With that being said I was wondering if there is any way I could make A wooden baffle so that I could mount 6.5inch mids in the kicks? Also how would the Mli-65's work in a Diy component set? I was thinking something like Wiring the Mli-65's directly to an amp, then from the mli-65's run a inline bass blocker to the tweeters do you think that will work okay or am I better off buying a inline crossover? I don't really want to run the comps active because I would have to purchase a 3rd amp to run my rears, I am the type of person that likes my rear fill and I don't want the rears to run off the hu's power.. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you for the help Justin

As promised,,, review is up in the review section.. A Thank you to Mark for letting me test out these drivers..
-
if it where me I would go with the MJ-18 just becuase of the deeper bass output and more cone area..
-
Update: Well the Mli's came in and I have been running some songs and tones on them to loosen the suspension, which is turning out great and I will have a full review in the next few days.. Okay well for build, All I can say is only crap are these things built? They are really massive and have some weight to them (I will try getting my camera fixed for some pictures of them). So far they have really great bass output and I haven't heard any real distortion but I havn't cranked them yet so it's hard to tell what will happen and if anything will change.. I will have a full review soon. A thank you to Mark ( great product and build) Thanks Justin

Holy $hit Mark, talk about a major setup you have there. I know these are gonna sound nice I have that gut feeling I will give them a week to break-in then I will do my full review, I will crossover at mutiple points and if you would like I can also do a review on the Maw-10? Thanks again Mark Justin
-
damn man thats sucks, you'are right probably won't see it again but filing a police report was the best thing really that you can do. Hopefully they find it though.. sorry too hear the bad news Justin
-
Thanks man, I think she'll like ported but I do know what you mean that people think the subs are bigger then what they are, I noticed in your vid that those 8's do get plenty loud off the sealed enclosure, I could imagine if you ported those..
-
Holy cow man, those sound really really clean. Can I ask which song you're playing in that vid? Again awesome setup.. Justin
-
Hello and welcome to the forum,,, hope you enjoy..
-
Ya break-in and wear-in are the samething, but I forgot to ask Mark to wear them in before he shipped them out, so I have to do it myself..
-
I've read that alot of people have been buying the Maw line of drivers over Infinity, Rockford, Pioneer, kenwood, ect.. The maw's just blow those others out of the water both money wise and with output that sounds great and gets loud.. Justin
-
I have to agree with everyone on here, go with a Maw-12. Justin
-
stealing fonts lol, looks pretty good though... I can't wait to find out what the winning logo is, it will be a hard for Mark to decide.. Good luck to everyone Justin
-
No problem, I will have my review up in about a week or 2, mark suggested that I let the suspension wear in a little before I do it.. I will keep everyone updated while the Mli's wear in.. They will be here for sure on Wednesday the 11th.. Thanks Justin
-
yes Scott please let us know if/how they compare with the alpines, My Mli-65's will be here on Wednesday April the 11th and I will have all next weekend to write up a full review of my thoughts and crossover points and also point out which tweeters where used for my tests. I will be using these in my car with the Seas Neo fabric tweeter but though I will review with other tweets as well.. Justin

yes Mark, Please do Thank you Justin

Okay I am offering $10.00Cad to the first person to make me blueprints for 3 MAW10's in a ported enclosure.. they can be sperate chamber or all in the same chamber as long as the box is tuned to 29-30HZ. My trunk is: H-14.5" W-36" D-12" , The specs for the 3 10's show 1cuft per sub ported to 29HZ. I can't seem to do this for some reason so any 1 person that can draw up a blueprint will get the $10.00Cad.. PS- Port need to be in the front baffle of the enclosure, if all 36 inches are used... Thank you Justin
