hey i just noticed it said the bass eq in the manuel it adds 0-12 db to the output. is that all frequencies or does it have a set one it boosts?

Im getting me a viper if only i could get the car for it too god my system is going to sound incredible when im finished. ill holarious already when my friends come in the car asking why i didnt get RF or lightning audio or something they have. they dont laugh after they hear it though

o ok. i guess im gunaa pik up a viper from them soon then.if its that much underated is it safe to put a 12 inch mag on there? by the way the eby site ways its like 2400 rms at 4 ohm but the direct audio site said like 450. done quote me on those numbers but it was somewhere around that. does anyone know how many amps it will pull regulR AND MAX? i wanna make sure it aint gunna KILL ME BATTERY

i assum that the directed audio amp is better than the viper since its price is higher?( refering to the ebay link you have) what noticeable improvement is there in sound? or is there just a couple features i didnt see. im runing a hifonics brutus 1000 and if these amps on that guys store are better i will jump on it for such a low price. o and what about the orion amp Orion XTR PRO 1000 hehe sorry to steal the thread but the curoisity got to me.

honestly think that in the SQ realm it beats the 12/13w7 and i think many people here will agree to that. and it should get louder i belive. thats speculation though bwcuase ive never seen a 13w7 loaded with power. thats just what ive heard around. but the SQ part i can claim on. the 13w7 was in a ported box tuned low. he was going for SQ with that setup.

hmmm that gave me an idea. im working on putting a stealth system together( or making my current one stealth) and kickpannels is only thing that killing me. maybe i can glue that acoustic carpet around the area my kickpannels are in sucka way to conceal them and make it look almost stock. likes its just a wall. its gunna take a long but time to get it to look that way but hey its all worth it. no matter how stealth your stuff is if thiefs see a custom kickpannels there gunaa jump right on that car.

im working on a stealth install. so hewres my situation, the way im doing my doors is im taking off the carpet, mounting the speaker and puting the capret back over. it was designed for midbass aplicatuions becuase carpet shouldnt harm like 80-300 herts to much but hows it going to effect the upper midrange of the 302's if i buy them>?

im cutting a hoole in my door and sticking them in there hehe. where can i get that acoustically transparent carpet? would i need that special caprpet for midbass only?

The response graph shows the mid being only 5 dB lower at 20 Hz than at 100 Hz. For comparsion sake lets consider the PL18WO09 from Vifa. It is 13 dB lower at 20 Hz than at 100 Hz. Something to consider... that is flat insane, there are 12 inch subs that couldnt pull that off lol.

you cant say the magnums will sound better. im sure theres people who prefer the w7 to the magnum becuase everyone has different taste. even though i think the magnum is much better hehe.

actrualy isnt it a 7 incher? and it sounds like they are saying that even crossed that low its not distorting or bottoming out. thats very cool. how would you describe this mids sound? punchy, laidback,crisp?

i always give stuff more power than it wants. you can always back off on the gains. my view is id rather have to much power and turn it down than send a clipped signal

ahe superior midrange. well from the couple diy comps i have made myself i could try out the 302's and if midrange aint good enough i can add one of my own with it. with my situation i dont think i could really go wrong with them. but that midbass they have just sounds aweosme.

this comp set is started to look pretty apealing to me, i might try and buy it just to compare it to my diy setups. compared to the comp set above this what would you say are the weak spots of these 302's. if it has the same tweeter, and strong midbass crossable into the 65 herts region then i dont see whats worse about it lol. these thigns look awesome.

man you guys have to make it an option to sell those midbasses seperatly, i can already see it in my door (ok well maybe about 4 inches to long for the door but never the less still in there) that looks like a killer set. i wish i could here them.

you should come out with some speakers for DIY people. like some 6.5 o 8 inch midbass drivers! ive heard lots of cars with nice systems, but getting your midbass to match the sound of your sub is really hard. and in my preference i think it sounds really nice when your sub sound matches the midbass cuase it sounds more fluent. i would def buy SI midbass stuff to match my sub, long as you dont bust out that 230 bucks per driver stuff that makes us all poor hehe. i dunno thats just been running through my head today

thats exactly what i ment. i think its a nice option to have. like you said allows for a slow upgrade too. slowly making your way to the full set.

thats becuase to many are stupid and dont even know you make components. most people dont even know of your subs. have you ever thought of making it to where people can buy your component systems speakers seperatly? im not sure what all your compnent names are but lets say the basic is T1, then T2, and your best is T3 make it to where we can buy a T3 midbass, then the T2 midrange, and maybe T3 tweeters. so we can mix and match as we like and to also reflect our pricerange. i think that would be pretty cool. but since you arent gunna be making any midbasses, do you have any sigjestions for a pretty good midbass driver that matches up with the magnum well??

just out of curiosity, how would you say the magnum d2 stacks/sounds compared to a 12 inch idmax V.3 D2

i just got my friend sold on buying a magnum. i was wondering that would hit lower and sound better, a ported 12 incher d2 or sealed 15 inch d2. he wasnts awesome sound quality and wants t hit low well. and hit. the 12 would be ported tuned fairly low, like 20-30 herts i assum

what differences would i notice with a 12 inch with these differnt box sizes, 1.0CF, 1.3CF, 1.5CF would i loose any sound quality or puchiness as i went bigger? i ask becuase i found a way to make a bit more space in my truck and as you all saw my box design in another post it ended up around 1.25CF after displacement. if you think it will make a "good" difference i can crank it up to about 1.3-1.4CF after displacement.

that just seems like a huge increase. should i tone my box down so it stays around 1.5CF with polyfil or is your recomended top box size or 1.5 on the site assuming it guna have polyfil in it?
