    Current remaining Xcon's

Do you have any 12's with dual 1 ohm voice coils left? Also, how would they perform sealed with roughly 1 cube each and 1250 watts rms a piece? thanks

    Sealed 15

The Boat is a Axis Wake A22. www.axiswake.com. The best places for subs are definitely under the helm (remove a kick panel and there is a good size area). The second best is the passenger storage compartment. I know I can fit 2 12's sealed easily. Once in these areas there is some space. The problem is there is little to no access to them. For example the drivers side has a lot of space above, but there is no way to get a higher box in the space.

    Sealed 15

I could possibly do two ported 12's, but my problem is I do not know how to get the boxes to fit with slot ports and am not knowledgeable enough to design proper ported boxes. The space requirements for the two compartments make them very different size ise. I was told that perhaps a triangle port would be my best bet , or aeroports. The passenger compartment has a issue with the opening. I can only get a 13.25x16.5 box in (and even at that may have to install the one side of the box once in the compartment) post 6 in the following link shows the passenger compartment with the sub box build in it and post 12 shows how I would like to do the drivers side, except my ox will come out flush and will not have a fire extinguisher mounted next to it http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=786172&highlight=axis

    Sealed 15

I have about 2.7 cubes per sub (each in a seperate compartment). I am decent at making boxes, but not designing them (I have done sealed, but only ever built one ported). The dimensions are limited by the openings to each compartment. The toughest being the passenger which is 13.25x16.5 (but I have 30 inches to play with (at least) for the depth). Budget I do not want to go insane, but where these are priced are fine.

    Sealed 15

I am working on ordering some subwoofers for my new boat. I have limited areas and based on my rough measurements (I am going to go get more accurate ones as soon as the dealer has the boat inside) I should have about 2.7 cubic feet per sub before displacement (2 seperate boxes of different dimensions and I may have more like 3 cubes, but am working on the short side based on the measurements I have). I will be powering them with a Exile 2500.1 which puts out 2500 watts rms @ 1ohm (plan to run two dual 1 ohm subs so I can wire them to a 1 ohm load on the amp). I know the Q is 1000 watts RMS and the Xcon 1750. Will 1250 be enough for the Xcon? I have read such great things about it that I want to try it, but would stick with the Q's if they offer a performance advantage based on my power and space. Will one sub out perform the other? I am looking to get the most out of this set-up that I can in both clarity and spl. My last set up was 2 FI Q12's in 1 cube sealed boxes with 1250 rms each. I am also open to any other ideas! Thank you for any help you can offer!

    Sub help for boat

The dealer is going to try to get it in their showroom for me soon. It is in their storage building because we are still getting some up here. I have some pics of the compartments on my computer at work, but no good pics of the outside. It is a axis a22 (www.axiswake.com) if that helps. Wakeboard boat. I am going to run 6 wetsounds xs-650 speakers in the boat and 2 of their pro 485 tower speakers (www.wetsounds.com). I am between arc audio amps (kar ks300.4 for the xs-650's and kar ks300.2 (one for each tower bridged at 700x1) or zed (dreadnought for the towers and draconia for the 650's) to power the tower and boat. I know I have room for 2 15's sealed (one on drivers side and one in the storage compartment), or maybe 2 12's ported(same places, but it would be tight), but am not sure what my space and amp power will allow for best. Thanks

    Sub help for boat

Hey everyone. I am getting ready to order equipment for my new boat. In my last boat I ran two FI Q 12's with the high qts option in 1 cube sealed fiberglass enclosures (after displacement) with 1200 watts rms each. With that I have two questions: 1) What subs would you recommend (I have been looking at the Xcon, Q, and Exile Big, but am open to anything). I have a Exile 2500.1 amp that I plan to use which puts out 2500 watts at 1 ohm. 2) What would fit best in the space provided (info below)? (I know I can fit 2 12's sealed again easily) Anyway, the new boat gives me some more room to play with, but limited access. I know I want to install one sub on the drivers side. On that side I have a opening of 16.5 inches high (I can do some grinding and make it 17) and 19 inches wide (I may be able to stretch this to 22 inches with a little cutting as the corners are rounded, but there is a lip I'd have to work with). Depth is 18 inches max. If I do not need the full depth I can recess the box a little in this cubby. In order to do two subs I can do two sealed on the drivers side (I can actually mount one above the area mentioned, but it would have to be something like last years Q in a small box) or can possibly do a 15 on the drivers side sealed and another in a seperate compartment. This compartment is HUGE, but the access is severely limited with a opening of 16.5 inches wide by 13.25 inches high. Once in the compartment I have a depth of at least 30 inches (could probably get 32, but would need to remeasure). I would plan to rotate the box so the 13.25 side was the base, 16.5 height, once in the compartment. I do have experience building boxes, but not designing them so any help/recomendations would be great! I am not oppossed to a single sub, but want the output to be greater then my 2 12's last year. I also like to listen to a lot of rap, rock, and usually am more on the ""SQL"" side of things. Thank you!

    New sub advice

Does anyone have any experience with both the icon and the q that they can compare the two?

    New sub advice

Hi, I am looking to get 2 new LSQ subs for my boat. I was planning on using the Fi Q 12's, since I have used them in my last boat and loved them, but since they are not available was wondering what you would recommend. I have read good things about the ssa icon, but was wondering how it would compare in terms of output and sound quality. I am using two individual .80 cubic foot boxes with some polyfill and already cut the holes for a 12. The amp I have wired in is a Cadence zrs 8000d which is able to put out 2000 watts rms at 1 ohm. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Fi Q 12

Thanks for the advice. How does the Q compare to the ssd in this application?

    Fi Q 12

Thanks I checked out both reviews. Can someone tell me how a 12 Q would react in a .95 cube box with about 800 watts? Would I need polyfill? Is 800 watts enough?

    Fi Q 12

I am thinking about running 3 Q 12's in a boat. I had already made boxes that are .95 cubes a piece when I ordered some Brahmas. Due to Adires current situation the brahmas will not be coming. Anyway, can anyone tell me how the Q works in a sealed box, and if possible how it compares to the brahma. I have not ordered an amp yet, but was hoping to give each sub about 800 watts. Is this enough or do I need to find a larger amp? Right now the only other line I am looking at is TC. I am between the TC-2000, TC-3000, or Q. I also thought about a SSD, but it seems the Q puts out more spl as well as better sq, which would be perfect as I am looking for a LSQ install. Thanks for your help
