Fixed... Let us know how the BL's sound
-
Two channel FTW! Nah, my receiver struggles to power more than two speakers (I have two big bookshelves that are currently being used by my brother), so I'm some-what forced to run two channel. I've had this set-up for a few years (Probably since my 14th birthday?). It doesn't sound too bad, and considering I paid very little for it(Best Buy's cheapest equipment ), I'm quite pleased . My parents refuse to let me use a subwoofer in my room, they think the floor speakers alone have too much bass... I don't feel like getting the exact model numbers for my equipment right now, maybe later . Receiver: KLH Floor speakers: KLH CD Changer: KLH T.V.: RCA Laptop: Dell Xbox Warning: If you click on the thumbnails, they're big

x2 Your amp is just begging for a bigger alternator

I'm just here for the free Mach 5 Audio sub! I kid, I kid. Let's see, I'm 17, a car audio enthusiast, and I'm decent with graphic designing. I've currently got two MTX 12" 4500's in my trunk, which I'm looking to sell and replace with two Mach 5 12"s. Other than that, I'm a self-proclaimed genius and history nerd.

Strange question -- Regarding Batteries
Big E posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Does a car battery need to be grounded to something in order for it to work properly? The reason I ask this is because a friend and myself are doing a school project (we have to design an entire business), and we thought it would be cool to make a movable car audio display. It would contain some OEM speakers from my Lumina, as well as my friend's Kicker L5 8", Audiobahn amp, a Kenwood head unit I've got laying around, and my car's battery that I'm soon to be replacing. We're thinking of hooking the amp and H.U. directly to the battery (well, fused of course), with a switch on the H.U.'s power lead so that we can turn it on/off that way. The ground for the amp and H.U. would both run straight back to the ground on the battery terminal. We, so far, have not planned to ground the battery to anything. Should we ground the battery to something? Does it need to be grounded? We don't plan on running it for very long -- maybe a minute or two max. Any other flaws you see in this? All help will be much appreciated, we'd really like to blow the class away with this one -
Looks a bit familiar

Strange question -- Regarding Batteries
Big E replied to Big E's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Would there be a problem if it wasn't deep cycle (IE: OEM Chevy Lumina battery) as long as it was fully charged? It doesn't have to get extremely loud, and it only needs to run for a few minutes max. -
Well when you don't have the option to order off the internet, and you can't afford JL Audio/Kicker subs, Circuity City is your friend... Head Unit: Alpine CDE-9841 Front Stage: Kicker 5.25's (055KS525) Rear Stage: Kicker 6x9's (055KS693) Subwoofers: 2 MTX Thunder 4500 12"s (loaded vented enclosure from Circuit City) @ 2 ohms Amplifier: Bazooka BA1500 500 watts RMS @ 2 ohms Wiring: Tsunami 4 gauge for amp, 12 gauge for speakers The subs get loud, but I'm looking to get something new. I want to build my own vented enclosure, and get rid of the Circuit City subs and amp. I'm looking at a single Fi BL 12" (dual 2 ohm) running off a US Amps XT-2000D at a 1 ohm load.

Someone forgot it was 2007

Maybe I'm reading into your post too much or something, but if I'm reading it right, the numbers you gave are outlaw. Legal refers to something confirmed in a competition.

Introducing the first SSA subwoofer
Big E replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
SSA already has a nice logo, I don't think there's any need for them to hold a logo contest (though I wouldn't be against it ). -
The Usual Suspects The Untouchables Three Kings Smokey and the Bandit (1 is the best by far) Four Brothers Accepted Pirates of the Caribbean (both 1 and 2) Airplane Blazing Saddles The Departed Scarface GoodFellas Pulp Fiction Reservoir Dogs Behind Enemy Lines Full Metal Jacket Silence of the Lambs Tremors (1, 2, and 3!) B) I still have to see The Prestige, and I plan on seeing 300 real soon.

These both look almost exactly the same as EFFENDI's, except without the transparency...
-
Wow, I've got some stiff competition between you, Smartass, and EFFENDI. I really like this one, curious what it would look like on the subs. Perhaps re-color the MACH and AUDIO or the 5 and the bars on the side, spice it up a bit
-
LOL! Nooooo! I just finished one a lot like Smartass's, and was planning on making one like element's...well back to the drawing board.

I like the box I'm thinking about getting a pair of MAW-12's myself, I just need to find a friend who'll buy my MTX's first...
-
Eh, I'm probably just gonna abandon that one, afterall it's a logo design, not an LP design
-
A friend of mine visits these boards occasionally, so I decided I'd join up after I saw the Mach 5 logo contest

Original: 1 - New versions: 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - I think I still like the original, plus some of the new versions may not transfer correctly to a silk screen. No, there are no duplicates, if you look closely, there are subtle differences on a few of them. I'll probably be submitting all of these in the contest (Yay no limit!), but if you wouldn't mind adding some feedback, it'd be much appreciated The only problem I have with most of them is that I'm not sure they'd silk over correctly, especially #5 (which happens to be my favorite) I can throw a fancy box around them, too! (See my sig)

First off, thanks That was my aim. I like this one for the most part, though, the blur/fade on Mach is too heavy. I really like what you did with the 5! If you could find a way for the 5 to come through a bit more, and lighten the blur/fade on Mach, it'd be even better! Thanks, and I agree I'm still trying to tweak it a bit, something still seems like it could be made better. I hate looking at my own work, I'm always too critical
