I've been throwing 1500+ at my 12" dailys for the past few weeks and they are taking it just fine. Make sure you have a good electrical system though.

Yes, i have a few pictures from each stage of the install that i will put up later after i get home.

Well this past week i finally finished up my install so i thought i would post a few pics now and ill upload the rest later on. This was my first attempt at a somewhat nicer audio system and damn did i learn a few things the hard way... lol. Here's a quick rundown of what all i did. 2 layers of deadener in trunk, doors and floor Optima yellowtop up front Kinetic 2400 in back 220 amp alt by iraggi (dom was awesome, and i got my alt in just over a week) big 3 - knu 1/0 Eclipse CD7000 2 sets Hertz high energy 6.5 comps 2 FI 12" BL's loaded 2 sundown 1500 1 sundown 100/4 First box didnt fit as i was hoping to squeeze a bit more out of the trunk ...go figure. Final box was 4^ft @ 32hz and a buddy helped with the carpet / mesh. Hopefully i can locate a show nearby and i can see what kind of numbers ill get.

Hey guys, i need help with a box design and unfortunately im strapped on time. If someone could help me out with some plans with these specs i would be greatly in debt. Box is for 2 12's ( .15 displacement per) tuned to 32hz - slot port centered on box double baffle 3.6 cubic ft total 36w x 16h x ??d I need the width and height to stay at 36 and 16. I tried using subwoofertools.com but the program wouldn't give me 36x16x?? but rather 32.5 x 16 x 23.5 or something. Once again if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Tej, you just gave me a great idea. It seems with all the research and contemplating ive been doing that im just overthinking the smallest things.

My bad, guess when i posted the photos i deleted the rest of the post. I'll be doing the big3 upgrade and then taking my runs of 1/0 back to my 2 kinetik 2400. So ill have 2 runs of 8g and 2 1/0 to each terminal. I am having troubles locating a terminal connector that will accomodate this on a normal battery post. Im gonna hit up the local auto store to see if i can find a battery with 5/16 posts or possibly both top and side posts that will fit my confined area..but its not looking good. Sorry if this is hard to understand, but i cant describe it.

Heres the install vehicle. http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=3306527 Heres the problem. These brackets each have 2 8g runs coming into them. Anyone else ever have this issue? The battery bay is rather small, so choices on aftermarket batteries are limited. Help is greatly appreciated.

I dont plan to use actual terminals on my box. Im just curious as what guage each voice coil terminal can take. Sorry if i wasnt clear in the original post. Was also curious approximately how much 1/0 is needed for big 3, and a run from stock batt. to trunk? Install vehicle is an 06 grand prix

Like the title says, i was wondering whether the terminals on the FI subs can fit 8g wire or if ill need to go with 12

Alright, so tonight i was planning to sit down and order all my wiring, connectors and terminals for my upcoming install. Eclipse CD7000 Hertz High Energy comps 2- 12" FI BL's 2- Sundown 1500's 1- Sundown 4/100 2- Kinetik 2400 220 Amp Iraggi Alt. 2006 Grand Prix I started mapping out my runs and trying to get figures for wiring, terminals etc when i realized i wasnt exactly sure how i should wire everything. I plan to finish the big3 as im installing my alt, thats no problem. Then run my 1/0 runs to the trunk where my 2 kinetiks will be. Here is where im confused... i know i need to run the batteries in parallel. This is as far as i got... Should i use dual battery terminals on all 3 batteries and then run 4guage with ring terminals from each battery to my amps, using the stock battery to power the 4/100? Or do i run the 4/100 and 1500 from 1 batt. and the other 1500 from the 2nd batt? I guess depending on how i wire from each battery determines what type of battery terminals to use. ie. dual 1/0 guage terminals on each post with 4guage ring terminals running off to my amps ... As you can tell im probably just overthinking this whole mess, but id like to get it taken care of in 1 order rather than realize i forgot a bunch of stuff and get delayed during install. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Comments on fuse blocks, fuse sizes, and locations would greatly help as well.
