You forget I live in SOUTHERN MN, NORTHERN IA. Its sooooo small down here. Hell, I live in a town with 12k population. It might be a little more miles then that, but maybe only like 2k more. Small town gives more reason to drive, to get the hell out of Iowa. My family has always driven though, 20-30k miles for a year is pretty normal. we get out every weekend, but its still not a lot of miles though. Sioux Falls SD and Mankato MN are some places we really enjoy visiting. Everything we need in a fairly short drive

You forget I live in SOUTHERN MN, NORTHERN IA. Its sooooo small down here. Hell, I live in a town with 12k population. It might be a little more miles then that, but maybe only like 2k more.5 years and 5k isn't DRIVING IT INTO THE GROUND, lol.What you need is a really high mileage, depreciated, newer car that you can drive nearly nowhere and sell without a big loss. I'd seriously focus more on finding that than what manufacturer. In 25k miles NOTHING should break on any of them...although that won't be the case.Do you know what a 2yr old, a 5yr old and an 8yr old can do to vehicle? Lol yeah, the interior and carpet will be shot!I have a 4.5 and 2.5 year old. My car is eat off the floor clean always.I try to keep the family truckster clean, but unfortunately the wife does not. She gives the kids ice cream in the vehicles and whatever else sticky and messy.Then I suggest beating the wifeLol I tried that once, but it didn't go down too well

That can be true, but hes driving a Mustang and not a Honda. His battery will be fine. -

I'm gonna go the opposite route. It takes power to make power. If your amp is pulling more juice than your alternator can provide then your gonna be running around with a heavily taxed battery. Get the alternator first, then work on getting a larger battery. -

THD will be reduced, less heat on the components so I would believe efficiency does go up. I can see keeping the ohm load down on a component amp, but honestly its useless on a sub amp. There will be no audible difference besides output and as long as you stay within the manufacturers ohm rating the amp should last many, many years. OP, I say run it at 1ohm. As long as you understand what the gain knob is and how its supposed to operate then I don't think you'll have any problem with the extra power. -

Budget and how long are you keeping it? $30k and I keep family vehicles till their damn near dead. Young kids kill cars lol for the safety I would prefer awd. I just feel it a lot safer for our winters around here.
