what size battery do u have in the vehicle currently? your stock alt is only there to power your gehocle and MAYBE a little something else. it wasn't made to handle 100A withdraw from an amp, especially since your alt is only 90a. you NEED a larger alternator. -
yeah, thats pretty bad man.

i don't know about the 966, but the 996 turbo is about $35-40 with roughly 50k miles. thats the average rate anyway
-
the M6 is pure sex, but i have had a thing for Porsche since i was a kid.

Well the viper is more my preference. I was trying to be non biased. looked at those too, but i think the Porsche fits me better. awd, turbo, small and handles like its on rails. AWD & Turbo true, but it is heavy, ass heavy and far from on rails.weight distribution really isn't that bad on the awd though. im not going to do anything stupid in it like Ryan Dunn though either.

thats why i'm choosing the 996 turbo. quick as hell, nimble and awd

Although the GT3 will give the viper a workout if its not the ACR model. But that is what the car was designed for. For the track. They are two completely different driving experiences. If I was going to be driving through town in traffic going to work I would want the 911. If I was cruising on the weekend with a little track time now and then I'd take the viper hands down. Hopefully ill be back in a viper by Xmas this year. itll be my DD so i think this is the best option between a cayman S or an m3.

very knowledgeable guys over there. they are the only ones i would trust to repair my amps.

spring is almost here and im getting real sick of that big ass bastard.

i found an 03' with about 50k on it for a fairly good deal and am thinking about trading the hummer for it.

has anybody driven an 01'-05 Porsche 996 turbo? what are your feelings about them?
-
I'm in the market for new alternators and I was talking to a guy about the Mechman 370a units. he was telling me they would never put out advertised amperage and they wouldn't even turn on at idle speed. I think its bs, but do any of you have experience with these alts?
-
depending on the company I don't think there's anything wrong with pre sales.
-
no, it bottoms out at aroind 2:20 in the video. he got so much excursion by using larger spiders and larger surrounds, i also believe he used a longer coil. the stitching is not just there for looks.

ohh my bad man. I thought you were saying after you got the new alternator put in it was causing you problems. a lot of new vehicles need to have the stock cables hooked up so it can read the voltage coming from the alternator and send it to the computer. -

you need to have the original alternator cable hooked up from the vehicle to the alternator. hook that up, do some testing and I'm sure that will probably solve your problem. -

did you say you had the stock wire from the alternator disconnected and tied up somewhere? if so, hook it up and try it again. -
i got pulled over yesterday for my 15% window tint on my truck and got fined $160. have any of you guys used this stuff before? i'm ordering it ASAP!

thinking about my application i thin an 8in. PA would probably better suit my needs. having a louder system i wont be able to hear the lower extension of the mid bass anyway.having a more efficient driver that can usually handle more power and play a little higher in the spectrum more efficient as well sounds just right.
