wwo motec sucks ass........bosch 24lb ftw...THE's why my project car uses
-
I spoke to soon....You should be OK with one 4" port. If 2ft3 doesn't include sub/port displacement then your actually around 1.7 ft3 and will need a 14.5" port to be about 34hz
-
nope 2 ports 26.5" long ea. but just go with the single port. IS 2 ft3 after displacements?
-
were you thinking of ordering it from there cause ya can't
-
IMHO the new Navigators suck...Look at a Denali or Escalade
-
yeah, that's right. But I would suggest two 4" ports to lower port noise. 2x 4" ports tuned to 34 = 26.5" long

I know the pic is small and I'm not saying I will do this(but hopefull) Should I be concerned about cancellation problems or is this design ok

In the technical section it's mentioned that there would be testing on running a 15" SSD sealed. ANy testing on this and any recommended enclosure size?
-
they don't have a recommended size for the 15" ssd sealed

So time to change something and it's this damn rectangular box....it's loud but takes up too much room and is ugly so instead i will make something to go on the left side and rplace this I lost the pic of fiberglassing work but this is what came out Then The baffle and trim piece Ports, only about 9 sqaure inches per ft3 but I don't really have room for anymore coming together and fiberglassing this to trim out the back of enclosure

because I'm a noob to active setups. So I'm trying to plan out an active two way setup for my Tahoe. My question is can I use any speakers I want? I'm used to buying what is packaged and put together for me and now I'm swimming in possible options. I see all the Morels ,but none are the ones for the car setups, then there are seas and ScanSpeak and peerless.........Do they need to be made for car audio and what are things I need to look for in the graphs and such. I have no way to demo all these options!

can you still use the auto time alignment mic or do you have to do it manually edit- what do you do for your rear speakers?
-
WIth the H701 would you use the rear channel for the midbass and front1&2 for tweeter and midrange?
-
Currently I have the CDT classic 6.5" mids with 480 x-over and tw25 main tweeter silk and I think the T1 silk upstage tweeter. I was thinking of upgrading the mid with the M6 and upgrading the x-over with the ES-200 but I'm not sure because of how bad the midbass is on what I'm using now. My highs are nice and loud but I have no midbass. So while thinking about this I've also considered scrapping CDT all together and going with a Dynaudio 242 GT set-up or even Morel HYbrid Ovations. While lookin at the prices of these I found the RE XXX and an incredible savings here: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=4928 So considering the price break I wanted to know if anyone here as heard them and what you thought. I don't need incredible SQ but I like it loud and clean like I have now but with more mid

would these run an active three-way? http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/p...?model=CDA-9887 http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/p...100EQ&tab=D if so what else would I need to add If not could head me in the right direction
-
thought so, wasn't sure.....
-
I've never done a three-way setup. Can I do it semi-active? For example if I used a four channel amp can I run the mid and tweeteer with a passive of the front channels and the midbass of the rear channel?
-
I might look like an idiot by asking this but what do you mean by PLD?
-
thankyou for all the replies. By the sounds of things I think it would be best to save my pennies until I can get a set the Dynaudio three-ways
