thats the only thing that would keep me from using it in the comp. it hits hard, but its not long enough. yep, as i said its on his new CD. that songs supposed to hit too.
-
haha, thank you yep, its off his new CD. im going to get the actual CD tonight. it hits very, very solid. out of all of the "bass songs" ive tested on my system, this one by far hits the hardest.

here are some pics of the install, we still need to wire up the battery and ground the amps. heres what in it: kenwood ddx-6017, fully loaded 15" fi BTL, ma audio hk4000d modded to 1 ohm stable, ma audio hk398, 6.5" alpine type x componants in the front and no rear fill, theres going to be 2 yellow tops under the hood, 200A HO alt, and big 3 with 1/0ga. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e215/mos..._25_07_2022.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e215/mos..._25_07_2021.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e215/mos..._25_07_2020.jpg

just decided to use different grounds. there will be gounds to both the frame and chassis.

i have a 15" fully loaded BTL being powere by a modded ma audio hk4000d that i picked up from scottie. im still in the process of getting my install complete, just need to hook up the second batt and swap alternators. i havent gotten a chance to use it yet, but when i do im going to post in here for sure. you can tell its a well made product, and for the cost you cant beat it. im a Fi customer for life. im thinking about adding another 15 in the near future...

that is what i was going for, simple yet still looks good. my other set up i had a huge fibergalss box, the amps mounted under plexi, and some neons to light up the amps. nothing against that, but it just was too much. then i upgraded my system and decided to just apply the KISS method
-
i discussed where a good place to ground my amps was with the service tech at my dealership (he also messes around with car audio) and we worked it out pretty good. its kinda complicated, but ill post pics if i can or explain it at least. id rather have more ground than not enough, just my $.02 that is the one thing that i forgot to add in my diagram. im going with a 250A fuse, being as my HO alt is 200A and the max on my 1/0 is 300A, i opted to go right in the middle.
-
i have another question on top of the ones already posted, where should i ground my amps? i was going to go to the chassis, but some one said the seat bolt would work...i have a ma audio hk4000d and hk398
-
oh, i gotcha. thats just the chrome.
-
nope, i didnt do any plexi on this install. i had some on my last, but will never do it again unless its at least 1/2" thick...i have a tendency to break it lol. since my digi is down i will have to borrow my friends, but i can definitely get some better pics up.
-
nope, no need. the amps themselves have internal fans, and also there is nothing over them so they are free to breathe. they are also not enclosed, or held in place, by any wood, just the screws.
-
anyone have any suggestions?

my new set up: SUB: fully loaded 15" Fi BTL SUB AMP: ma audio hk4000d modded to 1 ohm stable (thanks scottie) SPEAKER AMP: ma audio hk398 SPEAKERS: alpine type x componants in the front, no rear fill HU: kenwood DDX-6017 ELECTRICAL: big 3 with 1/0, 2 yellow tops, HO alternator

well, i signed back up after the crash and i figured id share my progress here. i have a 15" fully loaded BTL in a 4 cubes @ 34 hz box, ma audio hk4000d modded to .7 ohms, type x componants, ma audio hk398. the box is finished and carpeted and now im going to start on the false floor, install the second batt, upgrade the wiring, and tune it up. im going to be getting an alternator within the next month.
