That sounds like my best solution. Ill see if my welder thinks its possible. Think my battery charger broke lol.. Its only charging 12.5v and keeps kicking on and off...
-
my roof is soo thin the weld will just burn right through... and i know kyle i took it out tonight just gotta see if putting on the pulley is the only problem... not sure if it messed up anything when the pulley came off.. You need to find a better Welder. My Miller is rated for 3/4" and I can weld a coke can with proper sized wire. lol well i havent actually tried... my dads friend is a excellent welder so if its possible i might have him try it if he thinks he can do it lol.. That's not gonna do much good if the resin seperates from the steel. Stick a pry tool between the roof and fiberglass. If you can make it peel off its not gonna last. hmm ill try that. i really would rather brace with wood/metal anyways... i see it being much stronger than fiberglass. and less messy lol

question about charging multiple batteries
16K replied to 16K's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
read this: When should I use a 2-amp, 10-amp, 12-amp, or 15-amp charge rate? This depends on how fast you want to charge your battery and the size of the actual battery you are charging. The higher the amp setting, the faster your battery will charge. For smaller batteries like lawn/tractors and motorcycles, we suggest a 2-amp charge rate, as higher charge rates may create a dangerous condition. Check your battery specifications for the charge rate. Certain batteries like deep-cycle batteries with a Group Size of 27 or higher may require a 12-amp charge rate or higher to be charged. Why doesn't my battery charger shut off in the 2-amp position when charging my vehicle or deep-cycle battery? The 2-amp charge rate is intended for small batteries such as motorcycles, snowmobiles and lawn garden tractors. Consequently, when trying to charge a larger battery at that rate, it will take a very long time and the battery may discharge at a greater rate than the 2-amp charge can provide. It is best to charge at a higher charge rate like 6-amps, 10-amps or higher. Why does my deep-cycle battery overheat when my charger is in the deep-cycle setting? Some deep-cycles batteries on the market will not sustain 15+ volt settings. If during charging the battery begins to emit gas, or if the battery becomes warm, use the Regular Battery Setting. This will better maintain the battery’s life. -
I have a charger lol. Im gonna go hook it up.

Louder than justins 4 18 evils? Do you know how many decibelz its doing im curious? -
Well that sucks to know... If thats the case im just gonna sand it down and brace with strips of wood that goes front to back and then strips of metal that goes left to right. the metal pieces will screw into the wood and then bolt/screw in to the body on the ends of the metal pieces. Sounds confusing I know..

Ya I have my wires routed behind the engine close to the firewall.

Still moves about a 1/4 of a inch which isnt bad... 2 more layers I bet itll be solid.. Still need to make a pole which ill be doing soon to

Do floor first then sides, then top, then front baffle, and then back last. Metal bracing like 90* metal pieces in the corners..

Sucks this guy doesnt even update his own vehicle.. -
Fiberglass did seem to help.. After lettin it dry completely I can barely push on the roof.. I think another layer or 2 and ill be good.. Im still debating if I should just do a mdf roof though... Bad news the alternator pulley came off when I started it today... 2nd time this has happened.. Honestly not that happy with mechmans quality.. Like the 4th or 5th time ive had to "fix" the alt.. And yes I sent it in for repair so I didnt "fix" it myself
