Cut marked out. Found a program that maps out the most efficient cut pattern, worked out nicely.
-
Figured it out using Audioques size recommendations. Box is going to be 6.3 cubes after all displacements, 36hz tuning with a slot port. 87 sq inches of port. Bought the wood today, but I need a new blade on the saw Double baffle on top with 2x4 bracing. Port and sub firing up. Oh and if it isn't clear yet, it's going to be an HDC3 18 Anyone want to buy my old SA12's? Still as stiff as they were on day one!

I'm a bit weary of buying used subs...
-
Well I'm looking for sub and port facing up, it's in the back of an SUV. The box will be against a wall on all sides, so only option would be up.
-
Wouldn't a square port look kind of awkward with one woofer?
-
Does that port length include the 90? Or is that port opening to back wall, then the 24?
-
As soon as I get this box design down I'll go and get the wood! Help?
-
Well, contrary to everyones votes... I'm going with an HDC3 for sake of cost. I just need someone to help me with my box design.
-
Alright I'm completely lost with the ports. I make the port longer, yet the port area doesn't change. Could someone figure out the ports I would need for a box within those dimensions?
-
How's that look?

Soundlab is due to visit Enormis on the 15th I believe. -
Hoping to have this done by the 15th so I can show off when the sound lab visits.

There's a unorganized meet when the soundlab from RF comes to Enormis in Erie, pa. Unorganized meaning people just show up and show off next to the Rockford fosgate sound lab. -
I don't want to start another thread. But do I just make a basic box in that space with bracing? Then mount the 8" Aero inside the box flush with the outside. Double layer 0.75 mdf for the top.

I have two sa12s I might be looking to sell.
-
But with 1500w?
-
It's kind of ironic, I'm looking to buy subs but there weren't any in my dream. Only amps, which I don't need.
-
So I had a strange dream last night. I went in my basement to grab my old 4ch amp but on the shelf was 8 NS-1s, 8 4ch kickers, 8 jbl 500.1s, 8 2ch amps called America, and spools upon spools of knu wire. Needless to say I grabbed all the N'S-1s and wired them up in my truck. But then I went to the beach...

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/classifieds/item/52-18-ufo-btl/'%20title='18%22%20Ufo%20Btl How's that one? It has tears in the spider though...

I might be up to buy one of your hdc3s if you decide to get the 4s.
-
So either the Icon, Q, Bl, SX, or HDC3. All are about the same price.
-
Are those in any kind of order? Looking for the best output that doesnt kill my savings. Thanks for all the help!
-
Any suggestion for an 18 that would overpower my sa12s?
-
1500w at 2 ohms.
-
So my best is one 18 then? Would I see much improvement with one 18 over two 12s? Also what about the port?
