Ok the project is to remian stealth but get loud! These trucks suck for under the seat room so the best bet is to go the the console with the enclosure....so i did......It is fairly easy to get 1.5 cubes and still remain at a resonable height and does remian comfortable. I did not take alot of early pics....I had bateries charging and could not slow down so I started taking picks about half way through......sorry. objective: Keep stock arm covers keep stock top arm/storage area. Woofer being used is a Fi 12" SSD the rest of the system is still uninstalled...I dont have the time to run wires and install the HU so a local shop willl cover this fun activity. So I drew out a working sketch....made my cut sheet, made the cuts and started peicing together......and that gets us here. test fit woofer and check clearence....we have 3" of clearence so I think we are good.

Thanks Guys for all the replies.....I also do these for GMC/Chevys.....this allows the truck guys to have a nice stealthy setup, but allows room under the rear set for storage....as if the bed was not enough. -

Vinyl is harder than carpet hands down.....carpet can hide its own seems and with vinyl that does not work.....plus heat and a slow wrap has to be used to make a finished product look good. Good vinyl is also important. -

Not sure what FSC is but of you want to link this thread there that would be great. I am willing to do these for others...I have 2 going out of state in the next couple of weeks but due to weight shipping can be pricey and out of my controll as far as cost. I would actually like to get some threads on Chevy,Dodge, and Ford truck forums. -

The top can be made level if you ... A) the rear has to have 2.75" of clearence in order to flip up......so you can raise the front up 2.75" as well....making it uncomfortable. B) You can just level the top on top of the enclosure......but then it will not flip up. -

I was leaning towards a eD 13ov.3 but with the power I have on tap DLS A3 1200 watts at 1 ohm I am going for the big boy. So if you have a used one in good mechincal and cosmetic shape please let me know. I may have a TREO SSX 750.1 (does 1500watts at 1 ohm) for trade if you want to add a few bucks to the swap. I realized that I do have enough post to post the the forsale section so if there is a need mods please delete this. -

Hey scott. I am Using the hybrid SX woofer in a friends dodge quad truck console.....reatatching the factory console top back to it. I am not sure if i can squezze the needed area out to get enough air space for a ported enclosure. I will be using a eD nine.1 for the power to the woofer...the woofer is D2 and a 12"....Will the woofer perfrom well in a sealed enclsore? also what kind cubic footage do I need? Also do you happen to know off hand the displacement of the woofer? thanks carl -
I need a box specs for a ported 32hz 12" assassian.

$70 for the pair shipped -
You took the words right out of my mouth. meaning that is the reason for such a large unused area of unused shell? or he will have a problem with heat with those plexi covers? if the first one is the case why are there som emany amplifiers that can avoid heat problems and dont have to allow such a large area of unsed heatsink? I like the specs of the amplifier and it is tough to beat the US amps name but I am pressed for space, yet a crossfire BMF 1000d fits the bill fine.

I have seen a plaxi back made for the MD1D.....my only question is.....why does the board look so small in the case? If the board is indeed smaller than the case itself ,why not make a overall smaller amplifier? I guess most amplifier producing companies have the mind set that customers think that bigger is better, if that was the case the new Alpine PDX amplifier would not be doing so well.....I would love for the big amplfier trend to slow a bit and offer compact powerful amplifiers for easy mounting and stealth installs....isnt this one benefit of the class D amplifiers....smalll footprints? pics here... http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.p...;highlight=MD1D
