Damn that is a tight fit... 2 15s or 4 12s was my original plan, which after seeing this ported is not gonna work... Would 8 sa10s sealed get me louder than these two options... I would think 4 sa 12s on 3.5k would be my best option... Thinkin 6 cubes at 32 hz 90-100 sq in of port

As you may know these trunks are huge but shaped stupid wierd.... Just counting the center portion of the trunk, internally i have 8.11 cubes possibly more. I think if i were to remove or alter the carpet padding in the trunk i could gain a little more space. No plans on competing, just having some fun with a rediculous street beater. Plan to run 5- 7k, 3 d3100s, d2400 up front. if i could possibly get a dual alt setup, which if i can getting amps at that is not an issue. All i listen to is rap. any other factors i may be missing, feel free to chime in. I've had no beat since 09.

Just remeasured and my net dimensions including double baffle are 39.5 wide, 22.75 high, 23.5 deep. RF's site says it coming out to 12.22 cubes....

Right 8 of em comes up to about a cube, which i probaly could make up for that measurment was low balled a little, just counting the center portion which leaves the two sides at just over a cube on each side for a total of 10.13 cubes internal space, minus speaker displacement gives me 9.17 internal including double baffle... Could have the box a couple inches higher but since no rear folding seat, need some elbow room so they can breathe. Give or take i can go bigger. Was thinking 2 separate boxes only way to fit em in there. Will be using aeros or making my own flared sonotube per box... Which i have no idea how to calculate round ports, but will learn... tuned to 32 hz

just bought a 98 Lincoln towncar and getting a temp system with a small footprint to keep trunk space. the car has a huge trunk but I only want to utilize the back deck portion of the trunk which measures 44w by 13h by 16 deep(could go deeper)... gives me about 4.24 cubes. any ideas or feedback is appreciated

I listen to mostly reggae and rap.... just curious to see what that set up would do... electrical will be d3100 and d2700, big 3, and at least 220a alt... I also have a shade v1 12 that I wouldn't mind using

kinda gettin out of car audio at the moment, will be back as soon as the big boy 15's are out to work on a diff setup.... the amps have been used playing time about a 1.5-2 month span with a small scratch and a inset screw missing on one of the amps, which can be had very easily, two ns 12s.... one works perfectly and one is in need of a recone. also 2 9a31 dekas that were barely used and never mistreated.... will be putting up pics very soon. both amps purchased from rob eldridge and subs straight from jacob himself. will be posting this info in the for sale section tonight w/ pricing of course.... will definantly be using sundown again.... awesome products!

been out of car audio for about 2 months now, but the rest of the year is looking promising... i have everything i need for a complete system just wanting to recone the ns 12's i have to 15s and i have been going back and forth with pete about a rear loading horn for some time now but cant make my desicion... simple question is that what would the advantages and disadvantages of either set up.... power is 2 D2 ns, 2 1500ds @ 2 ohms strapped, 2 dekas 9a31s, and a ohio gen 225/160 HO that has not been dropped in yet... previous systems were 1 15 fully loaded btl in a chambered t line.... which was the loudest set up to date, and 2 ns 12s in 5 cubes @ 35 (which was way too big... hence the new plans to recone one of from burning up) but from each set up i have learned a ton of info in the short time i have been experimenting with car audio. i was told by pete that the horn may give me the range i am looking for and sound good doing which is what i am looking for and wanting to ask him the advantages but he's is impossible to reach in a timely manner and this forum is pretty good in response time and knowledge, any input is awesome.

i have an older box that was given to me by a friend who works at a shop.... he said that he really didnt know what it was tuned to but the 11.5 long and the only thing he remembers ( which was written on a sticky from the guy who built it) that the box had 26.43 cu. inches of area, 1.48 cubes .... so some ruff calculations on my part which i suck at i am still unsure on what this box is tuned to.??? JUST A TEMP BOX UNTIL PETE AND I GO OVER THE NEW BUILD WITH 15 NSs... i spoke with him last week and was think going with a horn design.... could get interesting. -

BOX MEASUREMENTS : LENGTH IS 18 INCHES... BOTTOM DEPTH 16 INCHES... TOP DEPTH 16 INCHES... HEIGHT 13.25 INCHES... ENCLOSURE HAS 1.48 CUBIC FEET OF AIR SPACE IN THE BOX AND PORT IS 11.5" LONG WITH 26.43 CU.IN. OF AREA... THATS PRETTY MUCH ALL I GOT -
i tried a fully loaded btl in it of 2 1500ds and i had the loudest 1 15 setup in my area... rich built the box for me when i was in the military a few years back, awesome box

would this work pretty well in a chambered t line off a 1500d? i'm surprised no one has jumped on this yet!

i will be redoing my install in a few months and wanted to know if maybe i can color match the amps with the color of the car... not really gonna be going to shows just a personal preference, i think the amps would look sick painted... new set up will be 2 15 ns, 2 1500s, and a 100.4, the box is getting built by pete which we havent worked on the details yet but he stated that we might go the horn route... i have a good bit of room to work with, enclosure space to work with is 16 high, 42 wide, and 30 deep... also i have a ohio gen 180/225 alt and getting a d3100 to replace my 2 dekas ( which i plan on selling).

that chit is sick... if i sent him mine would he be willing to paint em for a price???
