bump for M5 to respond..
-
I am looking to piece together a component system which will consist of Mach 5 MLI-65 mid-ranges or AA polys between those 2 for mid bass. For tweets I am looking at Seas H1396 or Vifa D26nco5? I will probably go passive then active when I get my Sundown 100.4.... So whats the better tweeter between those two?

I can't wait to see the final product...

the tweets posted a bit earlier had an fs of about 550hz and on madisound recommended 1500hz-25khz range... imma check the seas metal neo..

type of car: 1998 Nissan Altima sonic preferences: Im a SLQ guy as much as that word is hated around here music choice: R&B, Chopped n Screwed, Rock n Roll, Rap, Hip Hop and the occasional classic and jazz headunit: Pioneer Deh-860mp amplifier: Headunit until I get me a saz 100.4 deadening: Second Skin your install capabilities: I can pretty much do anything I put time and effort into. Do I know how to make kick panels? No. Can I make kick panels? With practice im sure I can make a good pair, but atm I don't have the available funds. What are my goals: I am looking for a front stage that can keep up with my substage as I have a 15" MD/FI Hyrbid Napalm that I will be utilizing on a saz1500d. I want nice mids that balance out the loudness my substage has so its pretty balanced maybe a tad bit more substage than front though. Nice loud and clean front stage is what im looking for without the horrible distortion I normally hear from tweets.

What do u personally use for mids?
-
Thanks almond... how do u like ur MLI?

http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...products_id=792 How about a pair of those? A bit more closer to my budget. What driver should I pick for my midbass? It doesn't have to be the AA poly or the MLI65 im open for suggestions?
-
What tweets are u using Shawn?
-
Ok, I would like to mount a 4 inch driver down there only thing tho I don't have any kick panels and will have to build some custom ones which I do not now how AT THIS TIME nor do I have the funds available to construct any.

I dont have any kick panels at this time so I am looking more so to mount them in my pillars?

1998 Nissan Altima Listening preferences: R&B, Chopped n Screwed, Hip Hop, Rap, Rock n roll, Jazz and sometimes classical on occasions... Chopped and Screwed, and Rap is what I listen to on a regular basis.. all the other music is a bit in between sort of here and there type of thing..
-
These would be great in my Pillars up front? how would I mount them? care to show any pics?
-
I don't think 4" tweets can fit in my pillars... I like 1" tweets because of the sheer size of them and easy to make them blend in with a sort of factory look... But hey there is always a need for change so what u got for me as far as suggestions utilizing a 4" tweeter?

I am looking to purchase a pair of Havoc 12"s in the near distant future and wanted to know what are the box recommendations for these subs and the optimum tuning?
-
http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...products_id=633 How about these Seas tweets...
-
Well I want to mount them in my Pillars in the front... So anything that can be mounted in my pillars is fine with me... Listening prefs I want some clean sounding bright tweets with as limited distortion as possible... I need something that can keep up with the music I listen to Rap, Chopped n Screwed, Rock n Roll, Jazz, R & B etc.... I just don't want no harsh tweets... Hope thats enough...
-
So tweets what should I get? or rather can you stir me in a direction of a pair of ones that are better for my application.
-

Aside from the 2 15" subs having the cone area advantage... Why would it be better to have 2 15"s over 4 10"s.....
