Kind of wishful thinking with a pair of low line 12"s...
-
Clipping can burn any coil if it can generate enough heat..

Any of the 15"s left?

I sure was looking into buying a 3hp motor..

Reconed my Mass Destruction Napalm motor

This sub has a nice deep sound to it.. So I am getting more and more closer to the type of sub I like.. I like the sound of it and it makes a decent woofer.. For 200 bucks I have no complaints.. thats including the price of the recone and how much I paid for the motor. -
I personally wouldn't mod them to take more power... I think you would be please with those subs on 1200 watts as they seem to be pretty effecient..

thinking about switching amps
Jybfan04 replied to boalova13's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I agree and as your impedance rises you should keep a consistent amount of power... -
I don't think thats possible as its only a 4 channel amp... What u could do is run your woofers and tweets passive on 2 channels and then run the other 2 speakers on the remaining channels... I believe you would need a crossover for this tho...

not to my knowledge and I am aware I need to take it out and bend the terminals.. What can I say it was my first time reconing a sub... -

How much you want for a single 15? mind pming me a price.. -
Man...thats just plain sad that three subs have gone up missing. I dunno what to say....for mine it had to be at the driver side of it....I just dont see any other way...UNLESS of course just misdelivered it...but then someone signed my name on it...so...thats just stupid tooo. Dont feel bad one of my packages got lost in route it seems... Being bassless can be very depressing... hopefully I can be back on track i think Thursday... btw again Scott...

Baby Mags - Very Impressed & it`s the old series too :)

Yes they can!! I love mine, very loud when I want them to be, shake teh entire car, but when I turn the sub output level down to normal listening levels in my HU they are very accurate and have great SQ, too bad they have 2.5" coils so if I blow one It'll be hard to get a recone Then again theres a good chance my BMs may be replaced with the next gen Mags next summer :) 2.5" coils are kind of common and im sure u can find a recone kit somewhere its those darn 2" coils that can make things complicated. -
What is the extension for the MLI-65? Looking to possibly use these in my doors for a DIY comp set?

Glad to see xbl^2 is here to stay.. -
http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=146726 better explaination than I can give.. good read but I wouldn't stop at just that but rather keep researching the differences and what fits your needs best.

You wire each individual driver to its own channel on the amp and let either your Amp or hu handle all the crossovers...

Great news... Is that 1000 watt rating conservative or will be all she needs to get moving? Is this woofer still LSQ? -
someone told u a tad bit of a fib... i wouldnt give them more than 1400 watts unless they had the flatwoud coil...
-
I see that you say the wattage rating on those are a bit conservative... Can it take about 800 watts... I am looking for a setup to have for backup... My sundown saz-1500d puts out about 800 watts @ 2 ohm...

I ahve some Type-R coaxils I wanna get rid of for next to nothing... If your interested shoot me a pm..
