I have an ALTY to and the trunk is weak as hell... What year is yours..
-
Did you check your fuses?
-
Adding an additional slug can possibly create a whole new driver cuz then you may have to increase coil height, change top plates, spiders a whole bunch of things. Just get the BP power option and throw some power on it and see how that does it for you..
-
x2, i'm sure most of the people bitching won't buy anything anyways. Probably so but I am waiting to see what kind of speakers they are going to drop as I need to do my front stage.....
-
Did you check to see if ya blew your anl fuse... Its possible for your amp to still work until it reaches a certain amperage if the fuse block isn't fully intact as well...
-
Last time I had subs cut out on me (not me personally but a buddy of mines) he wasn't getting enough power from the battery... The amp was pulling more amps than the wire he had...
-
Or battery power... What kind of ALT are you using?
-
You may be losing SPL due to your increase in power and just simply need to start sound deaning your vehicle... just a thought but im a noob and I learn from Ray aka Team Man Up I believe his SN is on here.

Im going to give you what I have come to understand these answers to be. 1. What is mechanical failure? Popping sounds, over excursion possibly , its a few more but these are the few I think are right. 2. What are signs of mechanical failure (sight, sound, smell)? I am not sure if a coil burning up is a part of mechanical failure or thermal failure I know its one of the two and hopefully someone will chime in to correct me if I said anything wrong. 3. What are the most common reasons for a sub to experience mechanical failure ? Being overpowered is the number one reason I would guess because when a sub is being overpowered its causing the sub to reach its xmax at a faster rate which in turn could lead the sub to have other problems which is why when people burp there subs on extreme amounts of power its for a few seconds because any longer will cause the sub to reach not only mechanical failure but thermal failure as well. 4. What is thermal issues/problems in regards to sub woofers ? Sub can no longer handle any more clean power it has reached its thermal peak in regards to the heat that is going around the coils which can cause it to cease to function. 5. What are signs of Thermal problems/issues (sight, sound, smell)? Coil fatigue or simply the coil jus has been burned up. 6. What is the most common reason for a sub to experience Thermal issues/problems ? I don't know what the most common reason is because im still learning and somebody correct me if im wrong but imma go out on a limb and guess clipping is the number one reason a sub meets its demise from thermal issues due to the extreme heat that is generated from a clipping signal.

Do you guys plan on putting out a comp set I heard you guys were and was trying to clarify that so I can kind of have set in stone what front stage I will be running.
-
The tuning of a port is after you calculate all internals such as displacements and etc... If im not mistaken... So I would say use the net which should be your VB....

Ohhhh well another company bites the dust but i kind of saw this happening...

Sweet I can meet more SSA members... the more we get the word out the more folks that will attend so tell anybody thats willing to make that drive.. -
You would do better IMO with 2 FI q's since they are rated stock 1000 watts... The Bl's are fine on 1000 watts but once you start customizing it your increasing its power handling.

So I am selling my pair of SSD's with copper coils and getting ready to save up for my next project heres the kicker.. I want to do a single sub setup for the wow factor between a 12 or a 15 preferably a 12 but a 15 is cool... I want to out do my last setup in terms of loudness, ability to play low frequencies and etc... so currently I have a saz-1500d.... Any suggestions for a single sub setup... in advance..
-
So after thinking I need some of the FI techs to chim in before I make the BTL my final decision because here is my ultimate goal: 1. loud with a single sub 2. Slam th lows to hurt my ears 3. Play any music Rap, rock, chopped and screwed, classical if I wanted to (joking) 4. do mid 40's 5. bass race 139.9
-
Yea I keep hearing you guys are going to produce some comp sets which I am in need of so I can't wait till everything is out..

Anything larger than a 15 would be impractical in my 1998 nissan altima...
