I wonder if I'll have any problem with a 768 pixel 14" screen. I'm not a fan of 768 on 15.6" screens, but liked it on the 13.3" screen. However my 17" work laptop screen is 1080 though and is WAY plenty for me.

And if I do, is a touchscreen necessary?I use it without a touchscreen. I don't use any of the metro screen though which basically makes it windows 7 with a new style start button. Oh, way faster feeling than 7 too. Personally I would do it, but it may piss you off as it has a new learning curve. Is it a standard pc or is it custom built? For custom built pcs it's epic, especially with an ssd. My computer has a boot time of about 2 seconds and it's to the Windows screen no problem it's pretty nutty. If you don't have a touch screens I would suggest getting a program called start 8. It gives you back your normal start button and boots straight to desktopThis will be a 13-14" laptop.

I've really enjoyed windows 7. I found the same version as my stolen laptop with a 2nd gen i7. From what I've seen the i7 is just a bit better than the 3rd gen i5s that i am looking at. It's also the only descent small laptop I can find and cost less than $470. Not sure if I want to upgrade more though lol.

Should I get Windows 8?

Sean, please don't buy a TV that misses out on the full spectrum of possibilities.

600Hz plasma is actually a gimmick, but an acceptable one for plasma TVs. A plasma screen has no refresh rate because the picture is always fluid (like old school TVs), thus it is more like an infinite refresh rate. Plasma only markets a HZ rating to give consumers looking at specs something to compare to. As far as TVs go a plasma is the only TV to ever "wow" me.

PS the macbook was my wife's. Other than their bad ass cusoltomer service, sooooooooooo overpriced.

Asus has many offerings in that range. All we have in my house now are Asus, and I have no issues whatsoever. I'm highly considering getting another Asus. I LOVED my U36SD until the place I was staying at got broken into. I bought it for $500 and can not find another one for a similar price.

$20 Chinese MacBook charger may have done the computer in. Anyone has suggestion for a $500 max Windows Laptop?

How is everyone cooking their turkey today?

I need to replace the engine mounts in the focus. It's much more noticeable now that it's cold.

Do you guys know if it is possible to "xray" a ductile iron case to see a rubber part inside. We are wanting to check a seal while it is installed because we think it may be setting itself right during disassembly.

Waxed half the truck today. Took too damn long to wash it. Glad my truck isn't filthy anymore. I haven't washed/waxed it in forever and figured with winter coming it would help to have a good wax coat on it.

Best answer carbs and protein in multiple meals a day. Losing fat its limited carbs in multiple meals a day. Whats your goals, and current situation, and exercise (if any)? I may not be Mr. Fitness (by my own admission) but I do know diet pretty well. J My goal is not to waste food. I am 123 lbs, but I don't really care about it.Personally I see no point in getting buffed and combine that with being tired after work, I don't exercise. In the warmer seasons I ride my bicycle pretty often, that's pretty much about it. This may sound stupid, but for you I would suggest you eat when your hungry and don't when your not. You don't seem to have any issues with weight. IMO forcing yourself to a eating regiment mostly has to do with making sure you don't over eat (or for skinny people that you do eat) to reach a weight goal. The biggest time to worry about food IMO is before and after vigorous exercise.

What about costs though?

I know I'm late to the discussion on this, But, you never want arch support. In reality, all you NEED is a sole that is tough enough for the terrain you are walking on, no heel and room for your toes to spread out. Most of the time a slab of leather is all you need. Off road good thin rubber is good for added traction. However, good luck finding shoes like that. Merrel Trail Floves fit the bill, Vibram Five Fingers and the Altra shoe lines looks good. For boots/ dress shoes good luck, bunch of hippies making weak stuff I would expect to last for a couple months.Ha. That is FUNNY. We aren't talking about running or walking, but living. Minimalistic shoes are TERRIBLE for standing in. Find for developing muscles and such where you should need them, but for what we mostly do we aren't moving and on shitty surfaces. For that you better support your feet otherwise when you get older you won't be happy. This is the only place where I agree somewhat. I did get a heel cup to help with the shorter leg and it makes standing way more comfortable, but I hate walking in it because it stops me from mid foot striking.

Also Matt2, I am 6'0" 230lbs so probably only about 35lbs overweight for my body type, but I also barely fit into a size 8. My feet measure under 9.5", so there is a lot of force on a small area. Also I have a right leg that is over 1/2" shorter than the right and a bone spur on my left foot from when I broke it years ago. With all of that I would never give up going "barefoot". For me that means, outside of work I either don't wear shoes, wear my five fingers, or wear my Rainbow sandals (wish they had less padding lol). I also still wear my Nikes when my feet get tired/tweaked (because they still do) or my boots because I'm from Texas and I could never give that up

I rarely find a reason to disagree with you, but as someone with horribly pronated feet I MUST have arch support. My feet are so flat that when I walk barefoot my ankles twist and hurt. It causes me to walk funny which creates pain in my hips and lower back. If I don't use arch support I get leg cramps as well. Another issue for me is the way my arch rolls over the inside of a shoe with no support. I used to go through a set of shoes every month at work... it wasn't from the sole collapsing, but from the inside of my arch rolling the leather over the arch of the sole and tearing the seams of the shoe. Yes, I was wearing wide shoes. My wife used to laugh at how flat my feet were and how I walked when barefoot. Now she finds nothing comical about how awful my feet are. For ages I used custom support. But about 5 years ago I found superfeet. Every shoe I own has superfeet in them. In my case, with such extreme pronation, an arch support is essential. As far as those of you with even just decent arches, your situation may be different... but I will never personally know. From what I have seen, the people who have the lowest arches are the ones that never go barefoot. From how I understand it, if you walk barefoot (and mid-foot/forefoot strike) you work the many muscles and tendons in your feet which ends up strengthening and tightening them. I've actually heard of people who started going "barefoot" and ended up loosing 2 shoe sizes as their feet developed an arch. On the flip side of that, my boss was talking about how his feet had a growth spurt in his older age. Ironically, it happened around the time he switched to a desk job. Of course, everyone is different and you have probably spent more time then I have been alive figuring out what works for you. So not saying that going barefoot would solve your problems, but at least it's food for thought.

There is a few companies doing such. I'm guessing it isn't being done a lot because the start up costs would be fairly high for all the land, and you don't get any return on investment for at least five years or so until the fungi has grown.Seems like. Good investment though. Like small batch fancy bourbon. Takes 5-10 years to see a return from aging, but then the checks roll in. my favorite burboun comes from a place that had been open about 4 years and had 5 million in the hole.... Like you said though they ate starting to see the profits.

Yes. I use it with my Roku. It is a serious pain in the ass to set up, requires devices to be on the same router, and it is far more limited then I had hoped for. If you have a device like Roku or GoogleTV I suggest you try it with the free app for your computer to link it to your device. Don't pay for your phones or other wi-fi devices until you try it. As far as I am concerned, it is pretty close to worthless. It doesn't like to communicate with my server on my home network. I have to link the server to my laptop to get it to communicate. It is one of the, if not the least used channel on my Roku. My friend who lives two states away uses it and he gave me his password. I can watch any movie he has off my Roku. Plan on watching The Hobbit tonight.

Hey guys, I am doing some work in excel and really can't think of a way to search to find my answer. I have some tasks that are labeled with "milestones" (ex: introduction, work, wrap-up) There are 3-5 tasks per milestone, that have beginning and end dates. I want excel to search the task for each milestone for the minimum and maximum dates and place them on a different sheet. However I can't think of the way to make excel check a cell before reading a different cell.

Google Hangouts ftw! Getting SMS support On top of google voice support that it already has. WhatHangouts is a cross platform messaging service. It works on apple, android, browsers, etc... On iOS they just added the ability to make WiFi phone calls and if you have a Google voice number you can call through that. Its expected that Hangouts for Android will support that and SMS when 4.4 - KitKat comes out soon. This will give you messaging across any platform.
