    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

That would mean saving that as a "program" called back up that I could simply run by typing ./backup in terminal or making a "shortcut" in Ubuntu? Yep. Just replace the source and destination with your harddrives' paths. I'm not 100% sure if it's the same in Ubuntu as Debian, but you can try "cd /media; ls" and see if that gives you a listing of the names of your harddrives. IE: /media/hdd2 and /media/hdd3 Not that it matters now since my computer is screwed but would you create an alias for that command or an actual program?

Looks like my original laptop from college might have bit the dust (from my own stupid doing). I saw that the computer I was messing with had a 2gb stick the same type as my laptop and since the computer didn't work I figured I'd try to throw it in. Boom, flashing lights (num and power constant, caps and scroll blinking). I tried to revert and same thing. I tried one at a time of the working ones in each slot and nothing. She was going to be 8 this next year...

Any reason you went with the WiiU over the regular Wii. We want to get one but they are sold out everywhere and I can't seem to justify the price.

This is an overview of the most common options: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BackupYourSystem Scroll down to "backup utilities." So hdd1 will be in the computer with the linux partitions, and you want to be able to plug hdd2 into a dock and have it automatically backup hdd1? Do you want all the partitions copied so if hdd1 died you could simply plug in hdd2 and be on your way? Or do you want hdd2 just for backing up important files, like your porn collection? Keeping with you naming conventions.Hdd1 = Linux drive Hdd2 = external always plugged in Hdd3 = external for back up Both are external drives and hdd2 has "important" files. I'd like to run a music server off of it so it would be nice if hdd2 failed I could plug in hdd3 and off I go, but at the basic level in only care that the files are backed up and I can store the HDD elsewhere until I want to run a backup.

Hey Stefan, I have 2 seagate external HDDs (500gb each). I want to leave one connected to my ubuntu machine all the time. The other I want to be able to plug in and run a script or something that will auto-backup the other HDD (only files that changed). It seems like it should be really simple overall.

http://www.ebay.com/bhp/toshiba-a215-motherboard That is cheaper than I expected, but I was hoping to be able to some how put in a new resistor and try it out. At $30 for the mobo I think I may just try to sell it on ebay for parts.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

A guy at work gave me a Toshiba A215 laptop. He said he didn't know what was wrong with it but if I could fix it, it's mine. I ordered a $10 charger off Amazon, and plugged it in. I got a few blinking lights and that's it so I went tearing into it. I broke it all the way down and found one resistor (I think) that looks like it may have been burnt. does this look like something that is fixable? I am in desperate need of a laptop and if I can fix this on the cheap I'll roll with it. Link to full size: https://plus.google.com/107214661442313803427/posts/b4i5cQNaSRZ

The turkey from the egg came out awesome. I thought it was going to be too smokey but it turned out great. If you Google.naked whiz turkey I followed that recipe. I made the gravy too but I found it a bit weird.

One that blew my mind was that I say "feeder" road for access or service road and that is EXTREMELY localized to Where I grew up. I mean, my hometown is like the epicenter for it.

Just took a quiz that shows you the region of america you most closely talk like. Of course Texas was burning red. It said the place I talk LEAST like was Minneapolis/ St. Paul lol

It's like the damn gun talk on here.... I have nooooo idea what's going on. *Climbs on soapbox* If you smoke, you should try to learn. I am now smoke free for a little over a month... not bad considering I was smoking 2 packs a day. I feel better, supposedly look better, breather better, smell better, and acquired a new hobby. *climbs off soap box* I started with a simple e-cig, and bought a shitty ass Blu. But I wanted to quit, so I started to learn. I bought the Halo G6 e-cig and really enjoy it. I still use it occasionally. I learned more and bought a Halo Triton, which is bigger, offers more functionality, and it allowed me to get into a "real" vaporizer. I decided I wanted more (damn the addictive personality disorder) and bought an eVic. It is really all I will ever need, but I want to grab a mechanical mod (loving a Nemisis), and I may jump up to a top of the line Provari just to say I have one. It is an excellent alternative to smoking, and it is a fun hobby. I don't smoke, but I know those who do and I would love to help them move to something better for them. For guns I know how to shoot and I have a few. For smoking I enjoy a cigar every now and then. For both I get lost in the details but I enjoy seeing in depth knowledge for any subject in the H0P.

My Silverado used to do that when it was "cold" (32*) then I got to Kansas and it did it once and never happened again.

My buddy got a pipe and tobacco from his gramps. I don't smoke except for an occasional cigar and such, but it was awesome.

I recently changed back to a paper filter from oil. Well mine is a Volant Pro filter and is supposed to be good for 100000 miles. We will see. My biggest reason was I would forget to maintain the oiled filter and when I took off my filter I had a film on the inside of my air tube. I wanted something damn near maintenance free.PS I also got a pretty filter for mine. Helps stop bugs and othe large things from getting stuck in your filter. Meant a Pre-Filter. Stupid auto correct.

Everything is set up now. I have Google Voice. I get voice mails sent via email and transcribed for me. They also have an auto spam caller blocker with lots of cool settings (call screener for people you don't know etc.) I now get 4g at work instead of barely 3g (Though I use WiFi anyways). I can text through the computer (Moto connect) or use Google Hangouts (preferred). And im super stoked that I am free to change what I want month to month.
