I freaking love mid 2000s bm'ers

What's your budget? If I were you I would spend $1000 on custom in ears that are rebuildable. Or I would spend $60 on some etomycs again. I spent $300-$400 on a few pair of stage/studio in ears. They lasted 6 years. Replaced the cable 2 times. Mine are really old now. If I can get new baffles I might try that first, if not it's whole hog with some custom molded units. I no longer see shades of grey. I get the best possible solution I can afford or something that will get the job done and I force myself to ignore the compromises. Budget is $60 -$130. For the custom molds, I would only do it if I got some crazy good deal through work. Otherwise, the small foam inserts I have currently work just fine.

And speaking of things I need, my Etymotic er-7 or something like that finally bit the dust after one too many rounds in the washing machine (it actually made it through 3). Now I'm in the market for some headphones again. I'm highly considering just going back to Etymotic and getting one with the built in microphone. I'd like to go Bluetooth, but the cost/ audio quality trade-off has me skittish. I'm pretty sure I want to stick to in-ear because I really like the ear plug isolation and the small form factor. I'm just not cool enough to wear Beats by Dre while I work out. Any suggestions? I'm considering the Etymotic mc3 or hf2, Jaybird Bluebud X, etc... I'd loooooooooove to get some custom molds. I'm going to ask work if I can get a special price on them for "safety" reasons.

I don't know... the iHop may have too many tools Not even close, I'm starting to amass my own tool collection slowly but surely. Grab a pair of Kleins here, some channel locks here, etc... I have a 300 piece Pittsburg set that I hope lasts me until I can find a deal on a better set of sockets and such. One day a fantastic tool deal will run across Craigslist...

If my garage were wider there would be one in it. Already have 12' ceilings. There was a guy I know that actually had his on some sort of rollers. I think he would put it on rollers, move it outside, set it down, then put a car up on it and lift. It was awesome, he could roll it out and start washing the underside of his car in no time. I really want one in the future, would be so nice for practically everything.

Congrats MK Thanks, it's becoming a running joke around work. One of our co-workers was there and snapped pictures and has sent it to all of the engineering department at work. I've now had people stop by with the picture printed out, asking for my autograph, lol

I was going to mention that it was ugly and that the Taurus is nicer looking, but you reminded me that it's what's on the inside that counts.

Best part is the bar night after where everyone buys a round from first to get out to last.

Having a brain MRI on Tuesday myself. I've have felt pressure all around my head for the last few weeks and sometimes feel like my vision gets a little funny throughout the day. I can't shake it and it's frustrating. I wake up some mornings feeling just like I'm hungover (sans nausea). some days it just goes away and other days I feel like crap most of the day. what's going on with you? (If you care to share)

So sorry man. I know how much a dog can mean to the family.

Direct TV is extremely clear about their promotional period

Meanwhile, in Texas, a friend of mine posted on Facebook that "The worst part of being a grown up is having to now be the one that has to start the car in the morning when its -57° outside!" It was 37° there this morning...

Last flag football game of the regular season tonight. Supposed to be in the 20s at "kickoff". Luckily the wind is supposed to be less than 10 MPH.

Went to AT&T since my wife's Moto X speaker stopped working. AT&T said, sorry its out of warranty, want to "upgrade"? 2 weeks out of warranty... Left and got on a chat with a Moto rep. By the time we got home they had a loaner on the way with return postage after they extended the warranty by one month.

The syrup I made came from some recipe on the internet. I like Sean's idea about muddling with the sugar because I'm sure the abrasiveness of the crystals could maybe bring out more flavor, but if it means the sugar doesn't completely dissolve, I'm not a fan. Sometimes I'll use the liquid in the maraschino cherry container as well as it is normally a sugar solution. I prefer leaving the fruit in because I think that you probably get a little more flavor when it soaks.. I get no extra taste from the club soda. I think that I just really like the bubbles, and maybe having it mostly on top cleans the palate for the drink. I put the extra orange/cherry on top just because it looks fancy. I like to practice presentation when I can, because your perception of a drink does affect your satisfaction. This effect is smaller when you made it yourself, but when serving to others it makes a difference. Also when you go to make the next drink and don't care anymore just shove it in there and pour the whiskey! I need to go through another old fashioned making spree.

Good luck with constant rpm in a car and actually selling it. If you could force a user to do constant rpm in gas then the efficiency of that motor and emissions would shock you at how good it was. Hmm, if I only had the money to do it myself and show the world. I can give you the contact information for the head of powertrain for the big three, the Japanese interface for the local branches, and if I make a phone call all of the German companies.Currently 100% of the manufacturers are behind on reaching for the International Carbon & Mileage requirements that are upcoming. They are trying EVERYTHING they know to get there. If you think the application at Deere is something special that they haven't already pursued that is really funny. Especially since it is already commercialized. These guys share information now on a daily basis, the competitive world has them hide some things but they are all struggling and working together more than you can imagine. Exactly where I was last week, having future discussions and presentations with said group. I'm not that dense. I was just making the point that just because you changed the form of energy doesn't necessarily mean it will not gain you net efficiency if you can gain it elsewhere. In our application, it works. My comment about showing the world was tongue in cheek.

I've got one orphan I've never fired up.

I don't understand the application and I feel that the efficiency is increased because of something I don't understand in the dynamics of that kind of machine. You guys are way more educated and experienced than I am. Want me to sell it? That I can do, want me to learn to design one? I'll need a few weeks and study materials. Sure, I'll sell it to you. Do you know how many bitches fit in that bucket?
