Figured out my issue. The ability to do it is there but it is likely being blocked at the BIOS level which is password protected (work computer). The other easy work around though is to use a USB to ethernet plug. The wifi adapter would be more "sexy" and always there, but I assume that a small wifi adapter won't pick up as good of a signal as the stock wifi adapter in the computer. This computer never leaves the building so I would never be more than a 30 second walk to grab the adapter if I forget it.

Okay Network Gurus. I want to connect to a development computer via an Ethernet crossover cable and I would like to simultaneously connect via WiFi to the internet to help with troubleshooting. Currently I have to disconnect from the development device in order to restore WiFi. HOWEVER, if I connect a WiFi adapter, it creates a secondary WiFi Network Connection and will allow me to communicate with the internet while communicating with the development computer over Ethernet. What I would like to do is a achieve the same thing without the additional WiFi Adapter. Hardware: Ethernet - Intel 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection WiFi - Intel Centrino Ultimate N-6300 AGN Test USB Wifi - Belkin 54G Wireless USN Network Adapter

What's funny is when I go on a business trip I usually have one or 2 expensive meals, which means $50-$75 for one person.

I always wonder how freaking much your boss must love you to pay for that. Also, how do you choose restaraunts while traveling to other countries?

Hey guys, I'm going to solicit like a spammer here. I'm using Insync so that I can sync my Google Drive to my Linux machine. The program cost $10 after a 15-day trial but it's free if I get 10 people to install and sign in with there Google account (for there 15 day trial) then I get it for free. So, if anyone could be a boss and download, install and sign in (its available on Windows/Mac/Linux) I would be greatly appreciative. you can uninstall right after if you would like. https://www.insynchq.com/r/107214661442313803427

Depends on what you are cooking. Anything that is no stick or teflon coated should be thrown in the garbage. Not useful for any kind of cooking. I'm a pretty shit cook but thats mostly due to lack of experience. Just want to get a few decent pans, a knife, and speed more time cooking rather than heating cans of soup in the microwave lol. what do you cook or want to cook? That somewhat determines the pan.Mostly I'd still figure out what you need and then shop Homegoods/TJ Maxx places for bargains. As a general rule I think All Clad from there is usually a reasonable thing to think about buying. i'll have to do some thinking about that. figured i'd start with the basics. Fry pan, sauce pan, maybe a wok for stir fry. What would be the best way to cook a steak? Sear then throw it in the oven? Steak needs REALLY high heat and then not so much heat. Can do the opposite as well. Either a grill or stove top for the hot part and either a grill or oven for the low part. Make sure whatever pans you buy can go from stovetop to oven otherwise I would say that is also a useless pan. i was thinking about using a caste iron pan for just the oven part if i cant find something that can do both. I thought I'd post a my 2 pennies on this. If I had to start with nothing and had little money I would get a good cast iron skillet. Do NOT buy lodge, find an old Wagner or something similar. If you are cooking on glass top make sure your cast iron is flat on the bottom (mine has a rim and it hurts heat transfer significantly on my flat top). You can buy pretty bad looking cast iron at a garage sale and restore it to former glory. Get a good knife if you can (per Sean's recommendation) and I would recommend a cheap Victorinox back up ($15) with a similar pairing knife. To me I like the cheap one in case I have to cut something odd that I don't want to use my good one for. Then a good size stainless pot. Its of course good for cooking large meals on a budget. After that a good stainless skillet (again like Sean said, get at TJ Maxx etc). I would still have a small non stick for little things (eggs, toasting spices, etc). I did the majority of my cooking in college on a cast iron pan and pot. They are great because you really can't screw them up.

Too much hassle. I have nobody reliable who can go check it. 400 miles round-trip. I'm going to take the course next week, rent the trailer and just go see the car. Then decide on the spot if we buy it. Worst case, we're out $80 per person (fuel + trailer rental)Car dolly?Impossible to find for renting here. Plus the car no longer has insurance and road inspection. Otherwise we could've drove it here. The seller rear ended it, bought it from it's original owner and is now trying to sell it to recoup some of his loss. With the bureaucratic jungle here it would be impossible to buy and re-register it under a different name.Simplest option is to buy and part out. Or maybe build a Lotus 7 replica. Or some crazy kit car. The parts list adds up to over $1500 just by judging used prices, and there is nobody parting out a Miata within 1000 miles. I'm not suggesting this, but I am. In America you could probably get away with either with the right choice of roads. Way way too much risk. You know, you don't get pulled over for 10 years straight and then when you are doing something "illegal" you get pulled over. Nevermind the ticket, you get a criminal record and they will also cancel your license for some time. If somebody hits me, I get the full blame, insurance doesn't cover anything since I did something illegal.Just thinking about getting in a shitty situation and then saying "man, I should've done it right" makes my stomach turn. You passed the test.Yeah I was totally testing you. Yep. I've done such things, but I realize that I only drove 5-10 miles when I did.

I get confused because so many people say hot then so many say cold for muscles. However after my 5K last weekend the soak in the hot tub REALLY made me want one.

I do, most people can't get quality ingredients, thus they have it after being poorly prepped and its gross.

Why??? That amount of butter lasts a couple weeks in the fridge. Then it's time to buy some more.
-
What do you defrost in the microwave???? Dies you wife eat bagged popcorn? Of so, it is gross compared to making your own. We use a crappy old metal mixing bowl with a sheet of aluminum foil. It makes azing popcorn every time. I've also had better luck with oatmeal on the stove. The wife and I use it a lot to reheat something like rice and then add the warmed on the stove food after. Sometimes we use it to soften butter quickly.

Tmo or AT&T almost has to be better (or just doesn't have service) the rest of the world has been on GSM for a long time. I remember when I was on Verizon back in the day, I was always jealous of my friends on AT&T because they were able to get all kinds of phones (some not released in the US) because of GSM.

What service are you using? I used Net10 for a while, but the problem is they put you on a priority for AT&T that goes Post Paid, Pre Paid, then MNVO's (companies like Net10). When I would get into big cities I would be low man on the totem poll so it would take longer to ping the tower than load the data. I am using straight talk at the moment...My phone still runs in 4G.. As the straight talk galaxy 3's are only 3G What difference that might make idk being that they cap their bandwidth..But I can switch to whatever carrier I want being it is unlocked.. $45.00 a month $51.00 something after tax...Being my phone is AT&T straight talk pings from AT&T towers..While phones that ping from verizon's "straight talks default" in my area anyway gets better signal.. Straight Talk is a MNVO just like Net10. It won't matter what the Straight Talk version phone does, the phone you have will access with what ever radios you have (which is very good that you bought the phone unlocked). AT&T/TMo works on GSM network Verizon/Sprint works on CDMA. That is why there is a difference in what tower it pings. There are very few phones that can ping both towers and those phones are typically global phones not commonly used. Do you really need unlimited? I feel like a lot of people say they need it but they don't. You can get a $40 1gb/mon plan through Straight Talk at Wal-Mart, T-Mobile has a limited minutes/text plan with 5gb of data. AT&T Go Phone has an unlimited talk/text with 1GB of data for $45 and 4GB for $60 Mine is a little over $51.00 tax and all a month.. Mine was the same with Net10 $51.36 after tax for 2.5GB high speed data and throttled "unlimited" after that. Is it really unlimited if it is throttled horribly?

I had a Moto X maybe in 08-09...Only Moto X I have had,Was a good little phone.. You didn't have a Moto X then. The 1st gen was not released until 2013

AT&T We have 5 lines on the promo 15gb plan. I get 23% off the data cost. My wife and I both have phones off-contract so the $40 line access is only $15 per line. My Dad and Mother-in-Law are on the same plan but bought a phone on the Next plan which adds $16.67 to their lines (but keeps the $25 per line discount) As far as carrier, it's all about what carrier works in your area. So many people around here SWEAR by Verizon. I always was jumping between LTE and 3G. With AT&T, that happens a bit at work, but I get blazing LTE speeds now. You also get way better phone selection on AT&T/TMo than you do on Sprint/Verizon. However, if they have a phone you want it doesn't matter.

I bought my Moto X for $350 brand new. I don't think I'll ever spend more than that again. The off-contract pricing is so awesome. If you took away all my discounts we would be paying $37/Mon/phone (5 lines). Right now we are paying $56.60 for our 2 lines with 3gb each
