Any chance you can post some pics with your own critique?

Lift weights and get get 50% stronger. Then the lens will feel 2/3 weight. You're welcome.

To avoid issues with links here is a screenshot, I threw out the Sony Tamron and compared the other 3 on Nikon D800E's

I don't think I understand when you say FF sized lenses. From what you mentioned it seems like you get more out of a lens on FF than you do on APS. So shouldn't the APS lenses be bigger and more expensive to achieve the same focal length and aperture?

You'd think his wife would be happy with another 35mm when it was only 50mm to begin with.

I'm interested as well. You guys said to go Mirrorless for the budget, but the cost seems greater in what little I've checked out.

On a positive military funeral note. A co-worker of mine was asked to help escort a fallen WWII soldier home after they found his body and were able to identify him. They flew him to the nearest big airport and had a police escort for 2 hours (across state lines) to bring him home and give him a proper burial. I thought it was pretty cool. http://www.parsonssun.com/news/article_522df8f4-2215-11e6-9081-b39c166d4c78.html

I tried Firefox with similar results. I actually hit quote on 2 separate quotes and they both went into the reply. when I went to type in something it crashed Firefox. I also can't delete a quote once it's in the text box. The new software keeps a draft of my reply. However I can post it then delete the post PS- This is all referring to using the forum on my mobile deivce

I'm thinking 50 prime, 24 prime, and wouldn't know where I would go after that.

My $350 laptop is still doing just fine

Yeah! And I thought I told you guys no bike talk. I'm going to report you to the admins if you keep it up!

Chiming in on the camera talk. To be fair on the video the photographer specifically says the 50mm is a target for people looking to upgrade from the kit lens. For people who thought the camera/kit lens was an investment an additional $100+ on another lens is going to sting. I thought that he compared both Nikon 70-200 zooms but I could be mistaken. I see why he harps on it so much since 1/3 of his shots are where the Nikon fails. As an anecdote. A guy I work with probably has $4K or so in camera gear over the past few years and he says that if he was starting again, he would probably go Canon. He likes shooting wildlife and family. A lot of the strictly camera talk that's been discussed here he has echoed unprompted. it's always nice to hear it in 2 places. After seeing the videos it made me go check out the Nikon product line to get an idea. For just a 50mm prime and body I could get way more features and better photo quality for the money with Nikon. Though after that, I'm not sure where I would be going in lenses, and I'm sure that will weigh the scales heavily.

You heard hotline bling, didn't you?

I've actually done that before In college I worked at an apartment complex moving people out, fixing up the rooms and moving people in. One day I was on elevator duty (the elevator will wig out if the doors are held open so it has to be manually operated). I brought a camelbak full of whiskey and on my break I got a giant coke next door. I would then take the elevator to the roof top and pour the whiskey into the drink. It made for a fun day.
