Got my mom at home taking out the PCM. Going to be sending it to Nelson tomorrow. Going to end up costing more, but hopefully the "you get what you pay for" phrase will make it worth it. Just for reference as well. I spent nearly 2 weeks trying to get questions answered and tuning arranged from Wheatley. I've spent 2 days and maybe 4 emails with Nelson

    Welcome to the IHoP

ur goin to need quite a bit to get up to him eh what do u think will get u to him? just wondering what is on ur list now lol since u gotta back that shirt It shouldn't be too too much. The LS motors (really my truck is an LM7 but there similar) respond to mods a lot better then the hemis do (referring to the trucks that is). The intake, exhaust and Tune are really just supporting mods, probably 50 to the crank, which will put me even HP wise. Once I drop a good cam in there it shouldn't be close as long as I can get traction. Those 10 ply tires are going to have to go. I'm also really considering nitrous as well. Been doing a lot of reading and a 100 shot is fairly safe (as safe as Nitrous can be ) but once you got it tuned and have an Air/Fuel gauge to read, the chances of killing your motor running lean becomes nearly nonexistent. Dry Shots are also easy to hide, so they'll never see it coming

    Welcome to the IHoP

Its really for my buddy. He drives a stock hemi Ram and that bastard is quick. He held up with my pops chipped F250 powerstroke on 35's. It was really about who got traction

Awesome to hear audio-neon. I will more than likely buy my headers and cam from them

    Welcome to the IHoP

Yeah I called them and they only do handhelds. Thats ok though because I've decided against Wheatley. He is way to hard to get a hold of and customer service is worth a lot in my opinion. I think I may vouch for a mail order tune from Nelson's until I get some real mods (Cam or maybe nitrous ) j/k on nitrous... maybe, then I'll take it to San Antonio for a perfect tune. There is also the "NOS" guy near Mont Belvue. I sent him a PM and I'll see how confident I am with him

www.pcmforless.com 250+ shipping for a tune Have to send in my PCM (Down time) to avoid crank relearn If I don't send in my PCM I have to do crank relearn when I get it back ($50 probably) $50 for future tuning upgrades ehhh There should be plenty of tuners down there for ls based truck motors. I'm surprised you have only found too. Have you looked into companies like Texas-Speed? http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp?i...=79&catid=4 They are in Wolfforth Texas. Only 9.5 hours away lol. There a good company though. I'll probably be orderring from them sometime

    Welcome to the IHoP

Rawr looks like no lunch break for me today. And looks like no tune for the truck either And if I don't go with him I guess I'll have to go mail order because I'm definitely not going to get a tune from a guy that says he can tune NOS, just a big pet peeve of mine
