    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

So, at the point, my wife could go onto labor at anytime and the baby would not be considered premature..... It's so crazy that I will be a dad in less than a month,

I need to make my garage awesome (also known as workable). I just want to be able to park my wife's car in the garage (which I can do), have a work bench and some storage.Right now I have to get our old table and my work out equipment out. Moving into the new, smaller house has made space a premium. I also have a shed I need to put storage shelves into.

Does anyone have tips on places to buy bulbs? I always go searching through Amazon but usually get frustrated with all the options and how expensive LEDs are. Typically I end up sticking with CFLs

Haha, still going to have one I wish the IP one didn't have the audio issue because it would be fun to use elsewhere afterwards.

We got 2 baby monitors.... Both suck. One has a monitor the other uses your phone. The one that uses your phone suffers a huge audio feedback issue. The monitor on the other is terrible quality compared to the phone one. I'd like one that has an always on monitor (one click to turn on screen) but also had a smartphone/remote option. I tried to talk the wife into using the phone one for video only and a get a nice cheap audio monitor but she wouldn't go for it.

Which specific models of each are you using? Is there an option on any of the devices to search every streaming and live platform at once? I used to use a Google TV (I forgot what they called it) and the search feature would allow me to type in a show and it would tell me the next time it would come on TV, or if I could stream it from Netflix, or how much it would cost from different services. It was awesome, but I haven't seen a product do that since.

I did upgrade from my $16 router. I am currently on a Linksys that my dad got rid of because the Best Buy employee told him routers slow down after so many years.

Nice, I'm hopping to do something similar. A guy at my deer lease has one he said he would give me.

I recently looked into Tablo. You need a tablo ($219-$299), a Roku ($100), a good HD Antenna ($30-$60+) and potentially $150 for tablo lifetime subscription. $350- $610 total upfront. You then would just pay $20-$40 for Sling and $5 for tablo of you don't want to pay the $150 upfront. That will get you DVR, guide data, local channels, and whatever subscription you choose with Sling. It seems to me to be the closest to normal tv. However, you may have to use a sling app on the Roku and you may not be able to record the sling content.

On lights, do you have any particular you guys like. I found some built by RAB that seem to be good quality. I'm looking for motion lights that will light up an area. I really want to set up home "security" but my biggest want is to know everything is locked. Other than that I'd like for an alarm to go off if someone tried to break in to my house, garage or storage shed. At least an alarm would alert the neighbors and may scare off the would be robbers. I'm not too worried about smart people robbing my house and out smarting a basic system.

Working on the light, got dogs, it's stupid to leave your stuff unlocked. Not saying you can't, not saying I haven't, but at least locks keep the honest people out.
