that's the problem with low profile tires, you have to slam the bitch to get it to look right when you've got a ton of rubber under there, you can get away with something like this: QFT as far as the stance in concerned

sowhat did the build shop have to say

Photos of the new exhaust true dual with DI/DO 50 Series Flowmaster Very dirty truck at the moment Comparison shot of 2000 GMC Z71 (1" larger tire and T bars cranked 1" up from stock, stock Z71 Rear) and The Z (T bars decranked 1" from stock, 2" lift blocks removed) Total Difference at mirrors = 3" And finally got her cleaned up

No one in town this weekend = me getting some work done on my deadening again
-
Tom, you said those rims in my photo thread are bland, do you know any wheels that look good on the silverados?
-
Good, Dad always told me not too have flashy rims, they only draw attention and help you get your stuff stolen

Was in response to the M5 getting killed on a drag.. I am slow though
-
I understand it seems kind of bass ackwards but there is functionality within it. (ex: Lower, level truck has less aerodynamic drag) With my truck lowered it actually looks perfect pulling my buddies boat (the only boat I really ever pull) since both the boat and the truck are perfectly level and if I'm ever on a slick ramp I may need 4wd to pull it out. At the beach I don't need suspension to get over anything but the 4wd comes in handy in the soft sand or pulling people out Once I pull the Z71 stickers off and I'm sitting at a light on a damp day unsuspecting victims will be quite surprised when I "somehow" hook Now lowered duallys.... were on the same page You must be short though if bagged duallys go right over your head...
-
but what about corners?
-
Oh yeah I would go with a more hidden exhaust as well
-
I have yet to have a use for more suspension but have had multiple uses for 4wd Since I am thinking out loud at the moment I really enjoy the look of this truck. He debadged, dropped it and added 5 spoke Titan wheels. I really think I want the Titan wheels as well and yes it is a Z71 as well. just don't know how my truck will respond with the flairs
-
hrmm really never thought of it. By behind the wheel wells you mean between the wells and tail gate? I think if I could work something with a box between wells and the cab I would be interested. Would have to have something so I could fit a sheet or 2 of ply under it for certain reasons
-
X2 I could live with the wing but to me the tires AND rims are to big. I'd like more sidewall as well. As far as traction. Slicks FTW!
-
One day though I will have a black tool box so I'd like to keep some other black on the truck so it doesn't stick out. Silver toolbox is not an option imo
-
The tires are 30" =P or close I want to take off the rocker panels the Z71 sticker debating on losing the 1500 and LS emblems Want to color match the handles but am leaning on keeping the chrome mirror covers Want to color match the front bumber like this possibly I really don't like the black plastic on the handles and top of the bumper

How about today?
-
dunno if I mentioned it but when i got the tune re-done I got the idle surge on cold start reduced a bit and now when you start my truck in the morn or after sitting for a bit it sound like it has a cam for the first 5 seconds, which is awesome lol
-
I figure flow would be plenty good for a truck with no internal mods, but when I go cam/nitrous I'll go ahead and switch Go big or go home. fixed

Pretty much... Exactly Story is so long its got chapters Exhaust #1 "The First Mistake" Got the Gibson exhaust, the guys F'ed up installing it and it looked and leaked like shit. Took it to another shop and asked them to weld everything tight and they recommended just going with a new system since this system hung low and hand some problems with pipes rattling together and I really wasn't happy with the highway resonance anyway *Warning* this is the beginning of the story where I will have 4 different after market exhaust in a matter of 24 hours... Exhaust #2, "The Big 'Fix' " True dual 2.5 with 12" dynomax bullets no x/h pipe. Had it on my old silverado (single 3", no cat) and liked it so I was excited. It was the loudest f'n exhaust I had ever heard. Nasty crackle at anything over 2K (sounded like I was slapping pistions). was actually quiet cruising and screamed like a scalded ape at WOT, but the crackle had to go so I took it back to the shop. Guy at the shop told me it was the loudest system he had ever heard on a truck as well and knew I would be back. Exhaust #3 "Same Shit Same Day" So I asked for and h pipe and they said that things were so close an h pipe was really out of the questions so the recommended 2 single chambers. Exact same problem Exhaust #4 "Works for Me" Hope is running thin... The guy at the shop was at awe on what to do so he recommended a DI/DO Flowmaster yuck for flowmaster, but I really need an exhaust that is daily drivable so lets go with it. Got it installed and its sounds very good. Low grumble and sounds good on accelleration. Felt good on highway with lil resonance so this is where I am currently at Exhaust #5 "The Future" If more mods come along I will probably switch for a magnaflow because I think there's is designed to flow much better and I believe I will enjoy the sound a bit more

Fast forward for me in the H0P anything I missed in the last 25 pages? I got my box (the one Mrcabinitry built for sprinklerman) and it looks great. just waiting for the Icons to come in. Also, got a semi final exhaust on the truck... more on that later Hope all is well, Kader
