First System - Help w/ Selection/Rate Already purchased parts
MKader17 replied to dlink's topic in General Audio
The 9887 isn't going to be able to handle active processing by itself. Which means if you go active the Amplifier will have to have the processing capabilities (Like the Sundown 100.4) In a previous post you said "RE XXX in the rear locations absolutely". So if they are mounted in the rear location they are rear fill no matter if they are meant for midbass. I think it would be better to start off with the L6-L1 combo. -
actually that is the complete opposite of what I said

so when u talk shit its true? i beg to differ sir I never said that, re-read my post

First System - Help w/ Selection/Rate Already purchased parts
MKader17 replied to dlink's topic in General Audio
Mmmkay lets start with the front stage. Maybe I confused what you were saying but putting the XXX's in the rear is rear fill. The Component set was designed to play from say 50Hz to 20,000Hz (semi-arbitrary numbers), and the Tweeter picks up where the Driver trails off, so adding an L4 that plays say 100hz to 6000Hz (again arbitrary numbers, I don't know the frequency response of the L4's) is going to be tough/impossible because the component set is designed to play these frequencies as well. Its generally not a good idea to have speakers overlap large amounts in frequencies. What I'm trying to get at is that you either should just use the XXX Components or get a new set of speakers for a 2-way design. I would not attempt a 3-way design as a first system because creativity with driver location becomes really important and there are many other factors. A 2-way design can be much more easily tuned in off axis situations. Thats it for speaker selection Can the 9887 handle 2-way active processing? If not you will need an amp that can do it. You will also need an amp for your sub. With your space constraint you may also consider getting a passive setup like the HA Clarius set and a low wattage sub and run one 4 channel amp with channel 3-4 bridged -
Its not talking shit if its true!

yes i know schaub got taken out i just wanted u to figure that out lol and Rosenfels came in and did do a good job just not good enough... and maybe ur boy was pretty much covered every play Refer to the bolded quoted statement^^^ Of course he was covered, he's Andre Johnson. Hell every eligible receiver is covered 99% of every play. And no you don't expect for him to get passed to every time, but again in double coverage he made a touchdown, I'm sure there are plenty of others times he could have made good plays but Rosenfels is NOT a good quarter back and doesn't have enough confidence to make a good throw to him. "not good enough" in this league = Sucks Therefore my argument is conclusive upon the fact that Rosenfels sucks... Maybe you should give up Trav...
-
Thank you Sean. Get your facts straight Trav... No way they would have pulled a QB averaging over 11 yards per pass. And the one time Rosenfels passed to Andre what happened? Oh yeah, it resulted in a touchdown despite the fact that he was double covered. Andre makes big plays, Owen Daniels doesn't. Rosenfels passed to Daniels, big plays didn't happen, they lost. Three games in a row Johnson got over 100 yards and 2 out of those 3, the Texan's won. Want to take a guess which one they lost? Thats right, the one that Rosenfels was QB for against the Colts. Therefore Rosenfel's Sucks
-
Well no shit Schaub threw less, he played less.
-
Look at his win column He had great stats against the Colts too....

I really want to be working on my truck right now. Does anybody have any clue as to what crossover points I should start at with my active DLS R6A's or a way that I could start finding out?

Texans back up QB is retarded T0P

Hi, My name is Sage Rosenfels and this is why I don't start

Need Ideas on A Nice Amp For under $300 to power a 12" BL
MKader17 replied to obcaraudio's topic in General Fi
Good detective logic there. But again I think it's the wrong way to approach the problem. Why get 3 amps when you can get one to put power to all 3 subs? (Like a Sundown 3000D) are you fucking kidding me dude. i asked as IN THIS topic he only ASK about ONE AMP AND ONE SUB.... as in the other 19 post he ask about 3 subs.... dont be an asshole because i DID NOT ASSUME info. and the reason why i asked the way i did is simply to play his logic from thinking 3 cheap amps into 1 GREAT amp. like a sundown saz 3000d... I don't think that KU40 was attacking you. Quite contrary actually. I read the first sentence as directed towards you in a good fashion, and the other two directed towards the OP -
4x2.4=9.6. I don't know much about it either but I'm pretty sure you're correct. My laptop has 1.6Ghz Duo and it is much much faster than my Dad's computer with a single 1.5 Ghz processor. Leading me to believe it is 2x1.6=3.2Ghz

U.S. AMPS XT4000D
MKader17 replied to oxsign's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
At $175 it does become a mentionable amp. I would expect no more than 1200W@ 1ohm (like the Specs say in the US Amp Forum). I owned a 1600.2 before and I believe it did put out near its rating of 125W@4ohm. i believe others here have used the 4000D, I'm sure they will chip in -
And they should be, they are a much better team.

Its funny that Tmax hasn't been on since 11:38PM but it still claims that he is in the H0P
-
you were smart enough to notice the filters in the first place. That is a step above many members
-
yeah no chit Filters are working well......lol oh oh oh type "prolly" and "tha" and "ima" for me plzzzz.
-
ehh something inside of me just hates tech and really has no respect for their team

Slow H0P Pumpkin Chunkin' sucked. I'm so fucking disappointing its ridiculous. We couldn't get ours to throw right and the best throw this year was 100ft. We hit 200ft+ last year... This is a video of our pumpkin chunker last year http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoid=21813456

^Truth, one of my buds with a single 10" on somewhere around 300-500 Watts was louder than another friend of mine with 3 Kicker CVR 12's. The wattage in my home audio setup comes to a grand total of 150W at full tilt (which I rarely, if ever reach) 25x2 on my main speakers and 100W on my 10" sub. Plenty loud for me and plenty loud to shake the room. My biggest concern is those who want to run 3000+ watts then turn around and tell you they are on a budget. If you are on a low budget with 3000 watts you will spend more money fixing your car then you will spend on the equipment My last little excerpt. I ran a 12" Kicker L7 on ~700 watts for a summer and my ears were starting to hurt and have problems just from that summer. I can't imagine the damage these people are doing to there ears with 3K+

Get to add my feedback! I ordered an Icon 12 and Sundown 1000D on Mon or Tues and I received my Icon on Friday and my 1000D on Saturday of this week. Both came in flawless condition and i am completely stoked about the Icon. Everything is great on the driver. from the boob to the basket, push terminals, and the triple stack magnet. Can't wait to fire it up!
