That was me but Tom did have some good pictures of his own. I understand how easy that would be to mix . Toms pics are better IMO opinion since he owns the 8 cylinders.

Just realized the mobil 1 extended performance I use in the truck is designed for 15000 miles. Looks like I'll still be doing the 4/8 rule for the truck but next oil change the car is getting it and going 15K

An old timer told me that back in the day they hardly ever changed there oil. I read an article where some guy ran mobil 1 in his car for 18,000 miles and tested it at various mileages along the way. He said it wasn't until 8000 when the oil actually started showing some degradation of the detergents in it. The only concern I have for the test was that each test required more new oil put in (<1/2 qt or so) My truck also has the oil change countdown that is said to be based off of how the truck is driven. In either event I'm going to be changing the filter at 3-4K and the oil at 6-8K

Always steared away from royal purple just because of there attitude of every oil they make is the end all for all lubricants. There price seemed to always confirmed there attitude. But if its proven I'm always willing to try it
