The screen broke on my cell. Phone still works fine but you can't see what you are doing. I think I will be going to a blackberry very soon. I can't decide though to get a Blackberry Tour or wait it out for the Blackberry Storm 2.

How old is the bed, where did you buy it from, how much did it cost, and without sounding like a total and utter deuche, why do you care? realistically it's not a bad thing and will happen in 99.9% of all beds. I sold beds/furniture for 3 years and managed the stores too. I have WAY too much info about it. Cali King Bed...............paid all together about 800 bucks with box spring and frame.......had it for not even a month and I care beacuse a 10" wide depression in my bed is no fuckin joke, it sux ass to sleep on. Understatement, I stopped reading any and all threads related to subs. Outside of the hop this has me reading about 2 threads a day. Whenever I venture out of that domain I want to leave. Some days I think perhaps the level on crapshitfestaudio might now be surpassing here Thoughts on actively removing posts that are flat out incorrect? Is that really what you & Mark want? That is a good question. I was thinking of making an "incorrect post" section to drop those posts. As I cannot keep up with every post, and as we grow I cannot expect Mark or i and the super mod team to read every post and know in depth all the details of the topic or question at hand. But if we could find an amicable way to keep the wrong info off or diverted and help make sure the forum as a whole, functions as it is supposed to, in that is working together to correctly find the solution or solutions to problems or questions that members have. SSA has a reputation as a forum where people come to for more advanced help or a source of better knowledge, and keeping it that way is important to me. There would be a gray area between correct post and heavily opinionated ones. Then there is also the times where people really and truly believe they are right and would never forget that.

Hey Sean, do you have any particular tracks that you are extremely familiar with that I could listen to and give you an idea of what I feel is lacking on the system. So far I think I have mids at 2.5K with a 18db slope and tweets at 2.8K with a 12db slope. I chose the 18 over the 12 or lower on the mids because it seems to me that on certain male vocals their seems to be a "ringing" of the voices from the mids and the higher I cross it over the worse it gets. I'm not even sure what Hz range that would be in for the vocals. I performed time alignment I put the right side speakers at -1db to counter the fact that they are much more on axis than the left side. I am considering getting back into the door panel and creating an angled baffle for the tweet so I'm not listening to the tweeter at 88* off axis. I also used the G EQ to put a dip on the right from about 2-3 KHz if I remember correctly with the peak of the dip being -2db. I didn't get much listening time but this seemed to help the "ringing" sound. Lastly, I really need to get all my 320 MP3's on my ipod because some of my recordings from the ipod are definitely not cutting it.

Went and did the TA for the speakers. I like how on the h701 you can hit turn it on and off to hear the difference. It does a good job of centering the stage. I went ahead and set up the TA for the passenger as well. I figure if I demo to people I can set it up for them to get the best possible sound, though all I did was flip the delays around. I didn't feel like re measuring since they would be so close. I did remeasure the distance for the sub though. The h701 has 6 presets so 1 is for me 6 is for passenger

I notice the CA18 and the ER18 are very similar drivers. What really separates their performance?

That excites me that my tweeters have the ability to go that low and I also noticed they say 90W RMS handling. Just good insurance for me to feel like I can throw what I want at them at not have to worry about going beyond their limits. I know my biggest complaint about my DLS set was I felt like the sounded terrible at the crossover range, so i would love to give the tweets a little more duty in this setup.

Yeah that was a helluva good post. Quick question. Should I setup TA at this point or get the crossovers fine tuned first?

Been messing around with the speakers today. I realized that the amps were still set for the old speakers with a HP/LP of 4500Hz so it was definitely screwing with the sound . What happens when you stack a 24db slope on a 24 db slope? I currently have the 27TD crossed at 2800Hz HP 24db slope and the ER18's at 2800Hz 12db slope. Zaph audio states he did the crossover as an asymmetrical 4th order Linkwitz-Riley at 1750 Hz. From what I gathered this is a 24db slope crossed at 1750, but I don't know what asymmetrical means. I'm also a little weary of dropping that low just for the fact that I blew my DLS tweets at there factory crossover point with what I thought was not too much power. I'm going to work them up and down and get time alignment set and see what I like but I was just looking for opinions on crossing those bad boys at something as low as 1750.
