I was actually in the middle of writing a post about how I had reached my breaking point with Harvey a couple weeks ago. I made the (probably correct) decision to not go down to Baytown the weekend the hurricane hit, but my heart was breaking as my friend were out there helping people in the flood waters and I was just going to work like it was no big deal. I would have had to miss work because I would not have been able to make it back, but who cares. With the help of a friend, I decided that I could help by setting up donations in San Antonio and taking them down the next weekend. In a couple days I was able to get a 12ft enclosed trailer and fill it to the brim with donations. The donations ended up going to a local neighborhood and the rest to a local church. I was able to help a few families clean their house and help one of my best friends family gut a small "shop/apartment" to try to rebuild. There house was destroyed, so they just tried to get things out.

My Moto X pure had been a great phone. The problems arose when I started running out of storage space. It was my fault because I bought the 16 gig thinking that the SD card would help a lot but it did not this new phone is 64 gig but that is actually 10 times more space than the 16 once you account for actual usable space.

I always feel like they should make a phone that's designed with a slim case that looks good. Basically a removable battery cover that cover the edges as well. Drop it? No problem, just buy another outer shell. Make the glass ever so recessed so a screen protector is just above flush with the edges.

On the plus side. I picked up the Moto G5 Plus and it is a beast of a budget phone. $240 brand new, efficient 615 processor, 64gb memory, 4 gb RAM, 5.2" 1080p screen, and a nice fingerprint scanner that I love (not so much for security but ease of unlocking the phone with a single touch.) Case comes tomorrow. I've been so damn careful.

I have no idea how you guys keep a naked phone. One week.... It lasted one week without a case.

Ah full frame. Yeah, with my crop I feel like I'm 2 miles away from a building and can't frame it in any meaningful way.

IMO the 50mm and architecture do not go hand in hand.

Back form a weekend of bottling bourbon. It was a pretty awesome experience. About 20 of us bottled 12 barrels of bourbon. Came home with 3 bottles. One is from a single barrel that was so good they kept 4 bottles to the side to send to a bourbon competition coming up. I'll post an album soon.

, Mobil 1 has an annual protection oil where the oil and filter would be about 50 bucks. Thinking about doing that on the vehicles from now on

For 4 years my phone was my HU. A simplified UI on a bigger screen would be perfection.

I just want Android Auto. I'd be estatic to have the Kenwood and Maestro combo and have the rear view cam on the screen.
