@ Ryan. For the tweeters its been VC problems. Madisound fixed the first one but I never sent back the second. Haven't checked this 3rd one yet... @Sean. I remember with the first one I had some wierd noise that came from the right tweeter (while at normal listening levels), then I noticed the left was blown. This time there was nothing that signaled it at all. You think I could send in the amp to db-r to get it checked out?

Was that tweeter one of the $20 silk dome Dayton tweeters? If so I those things seem to fry the tinsles real easy, hapend to one of mine $9 tweeter. Also have blown 2 $40 tweeters rated for 90W RMS from 1500-25000 (I haven't crossed lower than ~2500 and my tweets are turned down because they would overpower the mids.

After reviewing the specs I'm pretty much sold... Find me an Ipod, hook up rockbox, and get that dude to push FLAC through the w505 and to the H701 via optical cable??? I think so...

Pioneer DEH-P880PRS

I read this whole thread and all I could think about is how I was uber jealous that you got an 880 on the cheap. -
Oh. I also have blown a 3rd left front tweeter. Luckily it was a cheap Dayton tweeter this time. Got to be an amp problem? the difference between the left and right tweeter is 1 or 2 db. Would be a stellar Christmas break if I could get that fixed and throw in a double din. Funny thing would be, I would still have the C701 since I cut out the tape deck to install it lol. But that would be really legit to have the double din and that...

Thats a good amp to go with. And yes, 600W per sub will be enough. The biggest thing will be getting the CORRECT box. It may cost you but don't settle for anything less than the optimal volume, 3/4" MDF, and a double front baffle (means the front piece where the sub connects is 2 sheets thick). Just to reharp on what tirefryer said. Double check everything. Do a lot of reading. I remember when I first started into car audio, I found everything so confusing, really really confusing actually, but its a simple process once you get the hang of it, and everything will really make sense when you put it all together. Good luck with your first build. My first sub was an L7 (that I got a great deal on as well) in 3.25 Cu Ft. tuned to 36Hz running off a Boss amp (got a good deal on as well... free) and it was a blast. Remember to respectful as well when you have your subs. Nobody enjoys your music as much as you do, so don't force other cars to listen to your music. -

I, don't.. huh? wait WTF? Did he complete a sentance? I should be in politics, I didn't know that they did keg stands and barbituates prior to going in to speak. Wow... As a person that believes and (now) studies and reads the bible, that was terrible. It wasn't even an argument... (was he arguing something?) God won't end the world until he's ready too? Sure, so that means we can do what ever we want until he does? Seriously... what WAS he talking about???

Same here. Unless I need something for light duty power then I'll use craftsman tools. However, I use some snap on wrenches and they just seem better for some reason... Maybe I like their sleek, smooth, finish on ours. They are longer, smoother, easier on the hands, and easier to clean. Downside is that they are twice as expensive. are we still talking about tools?

Shared your chili guide with some friends from the deer lease today, Sean. Put it in word format but did credit you (deephaven) and sourced it.

Notice the one acting like a Meth Lab is a Chocolate, god they're dumb Whatever. Our old chocolate lab was so freakin smart and we never had it trained for anything. When I was in Middle School and road the bus she would walk out in the yard every school day about 15 minutes before I got home, sit under a tree and watch for me down the road. Then she would meet me at the driveway as I walked up.

I haven't looked recently, but had a Whirlpool Duet at my last house and it was great. What are you using the video camera for? Thought about a DSLR + Video option? I have an EOS from cannon in digital. I'm not sure if it does video, but unless it can do at least 30 min at a time I wouldn't be happy. I'm going to be filming a wedding for a friend, and I have wanted a video camera for a LONG time. I would really desire 1080 or better for video. Having high speed functionality would be really great too but I don't want to spend too much. I htought about getting another digital SLR and going that route it's just hard to justify it. The Droid X does HD video and takes video up to 30 minutes at a time... DR01D D03S!!!

Units with Bluetooth Streaming Option
MKader17 replied to MKader17's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Album artwork would be hard to see on a single DIN . All I care about is if the sound quality is up to par, because using my headphone jack from the Droid to the back of the Pioneer head unit is not cutting it. -
Units with Bluetooth Streaming Option
MKader17 posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I'm looking to get a new head unit that will stream audio from my Droid to the unit. 2 Questions... 1. What are the sound quality limitations of Bluetooth transfer. 2. What are my options for the best head units available that offer streaming audio. Goals: I want better audio quality than the crappy headphone out and preferably the least amount of filtering to the signal (I have an H701 to handle processing needs) It would be awesome if the unit featured a digital out for connection to my H701, though it's not necessary. More info available when I get time to type it later -
