Yeah, and my $1300 car is worth $5K+. People are stupid and have no idea the real value of their car. Of course the idiots at KBB have done nothing to help. I'm figure that as long as my car (I mean my Saturn, not my Silverado that I mentioned in the previous post) is running I'll be able to sell it for what I payed for it ($1250) during the summer for at least the next 5 years...

So according to the pricing I see on Autotrader I could sell my truck for just about as much as I bought it for 4 years ago...

Sean, how you liking the D2G? My wireless mouse/keyboard setup on my HTPC doesn't reach all the way to the couch so I installed remote Droid and just control the computer from the Droid via Wifi. What were some of your home automation plans with it?

Dinner last night was great. I wish i have more heat for my steaks to sear but they still came out good. I think I only have enough heat to really do one steak at a time. Oddly, the bigger steak came out more done than the smaller steak. Worked out well as we just switched some of the portions. Au Gratin Potatoes were creamy and excelent. The sauce was so creamy and good and the sharp cheddar was great. Green beans were good, would have been great with better timing though, by sauteing the mushrooms at a better time. Finished dinner with some of the gf's pumpkin cheesecake with swirled chocolate on homemade crust. and watched Boondock Saints.

Agreed. That siad I only like wood. I don't beleive in germs. we have some plastic ones but I never use them. You can find awesome cutting boards on ebay on the extra cheep. Thank goodness someone else doesn't either. I've spent my entire life not worrying about germs and I rarely get sick.

I will ask my wife. People FREAK for them. The real trick is to use the absolute most flavorfull cheese you can find. It allows you to use less cheese and then you have less oil. We regularly buy +$20/pound aged cheese. We serve them in individual ceramic dishes. It stays lava hot, and there is less oil. You can't find these in the US though. The presentation is practicle and impressive. I'm sure you could get it done with a soufle crock. http://www.kitchenar...nware_1148.html It's simple cheese, cream, onion powder, black and white pepper and salt. I like yukon gold. Thanks, I found a "good" sharp cheddar block cheese that I hope will be good for it. We shall see!

Are you serious? Potato chedder butter milk a dash of flour salt and pepper or any other seasoning you want to add. I like onions in mine, but W and daughters don't. I know the ingredients but its always the little things that make the big difference

Diesel is controlled by fuel only, not throttle valves. Was working with a new diesel engine at school and the "throttle valve" was their ONLY to reduce shudder when the engine is turned off. just my guess

One more thing... Need a stellar au gratin potato recipe K thanks

I always sear steaks with bacon fat actually. Or doctored olive oil (ie add some butter ) That's what I did last time but it smoked something fierce

Using an uncovered cast iron pot My other pans are non-stick The lack of grill is a big fail on my part. Completely forgot to grab it while I was home this weekend. Had a little smokey too that I could try and concentrate a lot of heat!

Only small problem I have with pan sear is 1. Not cast iron pan, only cast iron pot 2. Searing fills the house with the smell. Sadly my kitchen has no windows and the exhaust fan sucks, but i can deal with it. I've seared before but think I could do better. which oil should I use, seasonings, etc. As far as the wine. She honestly may not even drink it, but i just had a hankering for wine and a a bottle of wine and 2 glasses can't hurt right?

For me, I would eat it as soon as you kill the cow if it was sanitary. For her... well, she doesn't like sushi. I'm guess shes a medium to medium-well kind. I like my wine tasty. All I can tell you is I had a cabernet sauvignon over the thanksgiving break and I enjoyed it so I want to get some wine. I like crispy green beans with flavor. She is going to like crispy green beans with flavor No grill, but its obvious it is needed so I can get one. Can maybe borrow or would possibly consider buying an old smokey or something similar.

So I'm cooking a steak dinner on Wed and looking for some tips. I either have sirloins or ribeye in the freezer. Should I marinate them overnight? I realized that I do not have a pit here, but could probably borrow one or pick up an Old Smokey. Last time I cooked steak I just seared it in a cast iron pot and finished it in the oven any tips for side dishes. I was thinking a green like green beans and probably a starch. May even consider getting a red wine as well (haven't bought wine in a while) considerations? Thanks for any help, lets just say I'm trying to make it "perfect"

Background info 02 Silverado Active 2-way (Seas Prestige ER18RNX Woofers, Seas Prestige 27TDFC) Tweeters Crossed @ 2500Hz with 12db slope Set @ -7db (Gains set based on voltage) Pioneer HUH701 Processor I'm having a tweeter problem. I blew my tweeter and thought it was just faulty (the right tweeter is still going strong). Madisound fixed it for free but said it was trashed (voice coil) and nicely said it wouldn't be free again. Put in the new one and played fine for a week. One day this weird sound started coming from the right speakers (sounded like a bad ground, popping and such) and then all of a sudden, left tweeter gone again. i had heard that sound before but thought it really was from a bad ground, but since this tweeter has popped I haven't heard it again. So now I'm at a loss. the right speakers make noises and the left tweeter blows. I have the tweets turned down -7db (not to mention the amp gains are set less than half) they are 6 ohm drivers. Could something be wrong with the amp? or maybe in my wiring from amp to speaker? My speaker wire is underground cable with and extra jacket around the wire (still 1/4 price of any fancy speaker wire), and I really don't see it getting screwed up...

Looks as if I found the problem... yay
