But our library doesn't. They have paid for a few hundred dollars in SAE standards, no questions asked. It's even a hard copy so they don't get to keep it.

My work computer BLOWS

Hey Sean (and any other possible Global phone users). HTC unlocked the bootloader of the HTC Rezound which has global radios. Someone bought one and was able to put in a T-Mobile SIM card and use it right away without having to unlock the radios as well. I don't know what this would mean for the average global user (I have no experience in how that works) but the Rezound is 10x the phone that the Droid 2 Global is and also has a much better camera. I was stoked to finally get it, but I have to say it did come with 1st gen problems. My version doesn't recognize its serial number. Therefore I had to do my update manually and I can not root it. Also, I have a small spot in the middle of my screen that is whiter that everything else on a light screen with a tiny little dark spot about a cm away from it. The wifi strength isn't as powerful as my friends ipad2 and GPS is practically non-existant. Asus went stupid and put an aluminum backing on it, but didn't leave a window for the wifi/gps chip to "look through". It also has some coding problems that don't help as well. Other than that it is the best tablet. Those problems are actually pretty small compared to how I use it. I plan on getting it RMA'd by Asus and sending it in for a replacement. HOWEVER, I did just order the stock, which is going to be bad ass since I will have a 10.1 netbook with full windows 7 and Android. Also, some people have also installed Ubuntu on it, and it looks like Windows 8 will be able to be installed on it. AND, I found out its fairly cheap to hook up a PS3/X360 controller. It also has an HDMI out and games are getting pretty good these days. I'm not a serious gamer so this may end up being my gaming "system" to blow off some steam.

I think someone was looking for a TV for around $500? If so, I'm pretty sure this is a good deal http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=A4610111&dgc=CJ&cid=47997&lid=2025164&acd=10993545-1886881-

It's a great little device. I do have to admit, I did get one that came with some problems from the factory. I am able to remedy a few of those problems but will end up having ot send it back for a replacement. That being said, it is lightning fast. It's pretty nice to run/install something intensive on my laptop and be able to view it from my tablet. While I'm waiting for stuff on my laptop to load I close out the program and do other work on the tablet. I'm ready to get the dock that turns it into a mini laptop. After that I'll see what kind of productivity I can get out of it. If anything, it will be fun for surfing, games, mild productivity (Calender, people app, gmail, email, etc...)

Actually read every post in the hop as well until a month ago when I left completely. Way more time when I don't read posts outside of here. Lies! I know when it says "Spam starting, skip to 12206" you didn't read through it and just skipped to that page.

Austria got 2 meters of snow, roads closed, railroads closed and I didn't see news on the international web pages. Seattle got 4 inches of snow and it's the Snowpocalypse What's a meter?

I'm hoping to hit the gym next week. I'm going to see if I can hit it with one of my big workout friends but he likes to be at the gym at 6...

That's a pretty cool idea.

I do miss those tires. Their road roar made me feel like I was driving some monster or something. My girlfriends mom has a jeep with those on it. I drove it a lot these weekend to and from her Oma's house to go hunting. I now realize why Jeep people love driving them so much. it's like a big four wheeler and those tires seem to grip so well.

It's amazing how much your body can change in a year. Last year I was running 5K's no sweat. No sense looking back though. I am where I am and I'll get to where I want to be again. I did run 1.8 miles yesterday, but I was also close to death as well....

I really didn't think I could be this kind of sore from pilates, yoga, running, volleyball, and some light moving over the past couple of days.

Fudge I really want to get into programming but I really don't think I have enough time.

If its work data, why not just keep it on the work network? The stupid guys at work always up my storage level and I get new data in and don't have quite enough. It hapenned 2x and i gave up after that because there original limit is 2gb. Maybe I will just contact them again.

do you run a desktop or laptop? Personally I'd run RAID. I use 2 different computers and keep all the data on an external HD. I use my office computer to store the backup on the main HD. However, I will have my own computer soon and won't have to move the external around. What exactly is a RAID?

What do you guys use for backing up data? I have 20+ Gigs of work data that i would like to be able to back up without deleting my old backup and spending 20 minutes waiting to copy the new file over to the backup HD. My main source of the data is on an external HD that I move often so i really want a good backup because of the possibility of dropping it.
