Speaking on a similar note. WTF is a smart car good for? I was looking at the specs and my 17 yr old 4 banger gets only 3 mpg less on the highway and has a shit ton more room.

I'm pretty excited that my Silverado on 35's with 4.56 gears can get 16 on the highway.

Of course, I could pull all that off for WAY less than 10K as well.

Yeah, it looks great and their software seems useful as well. I used to have LG phones I liked but in the Android market they haven't proven anything.

There is also talks of 5 different Nexus devices. Do you still have the D2G? I still have a tab. Is 5" the size of the note? If so, that's too big for my pocket. The original note is 5.3". What is size, or thickness (or maybe your skinny jeans) that was prohibitive? Really the GS3 is a sweet device. For me I can't stand the Touchwiz overlay on Samsung. Though it seems Matt2 doesn't seem to have a problem, but I've only had completely stock phones and I like the simplicity. Personally, I'm not sure. If I could live with my phone I would just wait until the holiday season when the next round of phones will emerge. With the iPhone5 being released there will be a push to up the standards more even though I think Android surpasses iOS in almost every way.

I must have as well. I only slept from about 1am to 7am (short for me) but I fell asleep last night on top of the covers, never got in them during the night and never woke up. I don't think I've ever done that sober...

By the way, I just checked Tmobile's contract plan to their pre-paid and I don't see why anyone would want a contract with them.

Could you use wifi alot and is Verizon service decent? I ask because a friend of mine has service through some company for $30 per month that includes 1200 min 3000 text and 100mb service and runs off of Verizon. No contract, buy whatever Verizon phone and set it up (he uses an incredible). There are a couple of essential apps that make it very easy to block 3g unless you specifically allow it. Though I'm not sure if it would be available in your area. The other plan I can think of is Tmobile prepaid. There are a variety of plans on the site here. http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/monthly-4g-plans . Basically you get a unlimited but extra cash allows you bigger buffers of 4g data.

That's odd. I have always found the folks at XDA helpful, but I haven't been there in a couple years. They were still helpful but I downloaded a toolkit at work to help speed up the process of working on some phones at one point (not related to the incident) and when I mentioned that I used it as a last ditch effort the guy assumed that I've always just used a toolkit and never learned the real way to do it. just one of those times where I think, okay I don't need a lecture...

Fixed my phone. It should have worked much earlier in the day but something messed up. Did it again on my laptop with no problems. However, I did get the chance for people to be snobby on the XDA forum as I asked questions. Though I guess I realize that the people there deal with n00bs all the time and I don't post often so they assumed I was one as well.

Reason I don't mod my phone. Same. Plus I never really had a need for it. Although I did jailbreak my ipod touch years ago, and that was nice. It is purely my fault. I just didn't make a backup or leave a .zip on the memory that I know works. Otherwise it would be a reflash and done.
