    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Speaking of delicious food. Anyone ever had something delicious that you can't pass up in Tulsa OK or Moline (Quad Cities)

okay that got posted one too late. I'm not for mom and pops getting hurt, and I understand the "hunting" tradition, but if you've had those guns in previous years then you should conduct business as usual.

Good really. Eff that convention, I hope it wakes the citizens up as the city probably will lose quite a bit of money.

The entire event has been canceled due to the number of exhibitors pulling out. Niiice. I'm so confused. Why are gun companies backing out of this?

I didn't mean it in the sense of a Kicker 5 OMGWTFBBQSauce Farad Cap. But if you really needed to keep your HU on during start up it may be a way to smooth the voltage

Bypass the fuse box and wire directly to the battery? Not sure if that's a good idea though... X2 I'm pretty sure it cuts off at start to protect some sort of Under or Over voltage problems. Maybe if you had another battery source or possibly wire it to a cap?

Hmmm... So I put in an offer on the house I described in the previous H0P. They came back and countered way off (I was 20K (15%) under list, their counter was 6K under list). I started crunching numbers and decided that despite how much we liked the house, we should focus on a less expensive house because of the cost of taxes and insurance. So I told the realtor that we weren't going to counter and we wanted to pull the offer. A few days later (today now) they contacted my realtor and said that they would present that offer to their client (a relocation company is selling it) and would push to get it approved if I were to re-offer it. Additionally if the house sells at this price I would get it for 18% less than the county values it at. Meaning I should be able to protest my taxes and get a reduced tax price. It also lends to us being able to get at least our buying price or even an increase of 5K which would obviously decrease the cost of ownership...... Or I could buy a much smaller house with no character......

I have the laptop screen in the center with the desktop extended to the left. On the right is a TV an up above is my screen that is detached from my old laptop (but still powered by my old laptop below. So I can have the TV on (though rare), use the screen to the left with the laptop, while working with other things (like my music collection) on the old laptop. boom!

Smoothie isn't juice as it includes all pulp. Liquifying veggies takes a Vitamix or Blendtec. Otherwise it will fail. If you are just adding veggies to a juicer that can still work but you end up with something much less good for you. Why so?

    Welcome to the IHoP

Aside from some of the heavy duty GM pick em ups, I think the trucks have always had some goofball issues. That is just anecdotal. My expedition has been problematic but dirt cheep to fix. My friends suburban was less issues overall but he paid more and had bigger problems when it fell apart... then again Mike has a silvy and I don't know if I ever heard him have a problem.... maybe the cold just does bad things to chevy half tons up here. I also see a strong trend based on north vs south. Fords seem to do better in the north, chevy in the south. None of this is based on research just friends and family who have owned them. The GM cars seem to habe way less issues than the trucks. Just had the alt go at 180K. Had a bit of an issue with coolant at one point getting low, but it fixed it self. Had some clunk when turning, but that went away as well lol. Not much else I can think of and I've been running a lift for years. Oh, she's not a fan of the cold weather. I keep her around 2K until she warms up and she's good to go.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I need to go to bed but wanted to point out from Sean's post. Windows, Appliances, water heater, etc.. All replaced in the last 5-7 years.I need to check on the AC systems with inspection. On the lawn car. I could get a $40 push mower on craigslist and be done mowing in an hour. I'll keep my eye open for rentals as nothing is set in stone, but the rentals that are cheap are cheap for good reason and I'm damn tired of living in places that are neglected or stupid stuff is done to keep it cheap (and likely cost me out the ass in utilities). PS - I appreciate the input.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I'm getting a good deal on the loan. I just barely qualify for a Rural Development loan (almost make too much) so my PMI (Private MTG Ins.) is less than half of normal and my interest rate is the same as an FHA or conventional loan. Other than that, I'm not stuck on owning (would really rather not have any debt), but unless I want to drive ~100 mile roundtrip everyday, which works out to $500-$600 in gas per month just to drive to work compared to $180 there just really isn't decent rental property. In addition, I'm buying in a better area with house that has been remodeled to a T for less than the house cost in 2001 plus just the windows. The energy efficiency of the house is better than most new houses. Also my company will pay Realtor fees and will get a relocation company to purchase the home if/when I get transferred. So really, if I get exactly what I paid for it then I will "break even" and get my principal back (minus PMI, taxes and insurance).

    Welcome to the IHoP

Umm, NO! WAY too early. With the market as such doing so this fast is a recipe for losing money. If you haven't looked at 100+ houses in the area you don't know it. Seriously. Feel free to find me a rental property that doesn't cost more than a mortgage and is worth a damn. Additionally the house we are looking at we will likely get for only 5-10K more than it sold for in 2001 and in that time it went through a complete renovation. New plumbing, wiring, gas, 2 gas fireplaces, all walls torn down, new insulation, remodelled kitchen w/ granite and new appliances, new heater, new double paned windows, etc...
