Agreed. I wouldn't write the team off. They will likely come around, especially if you are performing. Also, they still have some ins and outs I'm sure they can teach you.

What's your @?

Hmmm... $500 in gas round trip and an additional 3,330 miles on the new truck....

Okay, I have to make a trip to PA when I get the new truck. That picture made me feel things...

So I think Aaron will relate... I was playing company softball tonight and got intentionally walked. There was some baseball reason for it, though the next 2 guys after me played college ball (I didn't make the freshman high school ball team) so it was questionable at best. The next at bat at the pitcher was haphazardly throwing the ball to ensure he didn't throw a strike. I fouled off ball 4, so he through the next one in the dirt. I hit it off the bounce. It was an illegal pitch so it should have been a walk but the umpire called me out because it hit the pitcher (fortunate accident). Don't get me wrong, we were killing the other team and I was going to take a good swing, but i hadn't hit a ball that didn't touch the infield that night. I don't get to take a lot of time to play sports, due to my family, so to get non-quality at bats in an offense game sucks. I've also played on much worse teams.... I've pitched for much worse teams and I never never never pitched completely around someone, unless it made baseball sense. It sucks that we come out to have fun and someone does that. Oddly enough our league only allows 3 home runs and only a guy who had never hit a home run hit one tonight. end rant thanks for listening.

Has anyone done interior wraps on a vehicle with good results?
-
That's just nuts to me. I couldn't see justifying that even if the company paid for the vehicle.
-
Drove a '15 with the 2.7L ecoboost yesterday and was left very impressed. Good power, good fuel economy and capable of towing enough for my needs. Unfortunately the vehicles had too many cosmetic problems, which is probably why is was priced in a way that I could afford it.
-
All that being said. I drove the 5.0 and 3.5 back to back today and was left more impressed with the 3.5 The throttle response is just there compared to the 5.0. I don't have to down shift, but the power is there if I do. I feel like the 5.0 is better paired with the 10 speed while the 3.5 doesn't need the extra gears. My wife preferred the 3.5, though based just on cab quietness. A local Mercedes dealer has a F150 FX2 with the 5.0. It is super clean and a great price. I'm going to drive it tomorrow and see what I think. M wife was enamored by the platinum package.
-
I agree. The 5.0 is way simpler and I expect it's reliability will be amazing. Even if it's not the aftermarket is insane which makes repair cheap. I'd be interested in seeing what is easily added to the 5.0 in the F150. I think boosting a non-boosted vehicle is pretty cost prohibitive, but intake/exhaust is fairly straight forward.

Sure I can compare. I can buy two trucks at similar prices. One I can spend a few hundred bucks and get 70hp/100tq improvement and the other I get 40hp/40tq improvement over the lower baseline. We have a 2.0T Hyundai. It's been great so far. It drinks more fuel than I like but I loooove the low end torque.
-
Going to look at trucks tomorrow. I'm having a hard time taking the 5.0 over the 3.5. With a nice tune you can see so much more HP/TQ gains in the 3.5 over the 5. An 87 octance tune for the 3.5 in hot conditions will outperform a 5.0 93 tune in ideal. However, I can find a lot better deals on 5.0 trucks and more trucks that would be easily upgraded to Android Auto compatibility. Going to drive both tomorrow (in stock form)

Driving the 2018 F150 has been nice, but there has been some hitches. 1. I love my audio system. I'll need to get something in the new truck. to elaborate I listened to a new album of a band I liked in the F150 and thought is wasn't all that great. I drove my truck that evening and listened to the same album, realizing what I was missing. Oddly enough it was the high end of the guitar and symbols that were so crisp in the truck. 2. I love my eaton truetrac and lack of traction control. I don't think I need a locker in my new truck because a truetrac is in my future. Can I turn off traction control all the time? Edit: you can turn off TC up to 35mph by turning off TC and then holding it for 5 seconds. I'm going to miss my '02 that lets you do whatever you want (no torque management babay!) That being said, I can turn off traction control for <35 and have better range of power down low. I will have to get a tune as well if I go 3.5

On the truck front that makes 2011=2012+. I'm going to stick with a screen because of back up camera and resell value. Also 2011 is the first year of the 3.5/5.0 new body style. Just waiting for a good deal to pop up. I seem to be less scared of mileage so I'm probably going to end up with a truck in the 80-100K range. Really want to drive a 5.0 and 3.5 back to back. I'm going to try to find a dealer that has both in the 6 speed variety.

Android Auto.... Am I just having bad luck? it seems like I have to connect my phone multiple times for it to work and on the way home it lost connection 3 times. I finally just switched to Bluetooth and almost preferred the boring interface that started immediately when the car starts. Otherwise the truck reverts back to FM which generally sucks. When I don't have anything playing and use the "Okay Google" command it switches to FM for a brief moment before activating. My phone automatically launches Android Auto on the phone so maybe that is interfering? Unless wireless AndroidAuto works like bluetooth, I can live without. The audio quality isn't much (if at all) worse and having my audio start back up immediately is pretty nice on bluetooth. I'm a get in the car and go kind of person.

Damn, just recommended them to a co-worker.
-
It seems they don't understand the fundamental law of hobbies. The max number of hobby projects one can logically have is N+1. where N is the current number of projects.
-
I'm already seeing the fight my wife and I going to have when I sell the Silverado and I pull the Seas out of the truck before I sell them with out any idea of what I'm going to do with them.
-
So, tell me if I'm being too Sean. I'm thinking that I want to pick up specifically a 2011 F150 because it's the last year your could change the radio and has the 5.0/3.5. In doing so I could install and Android Auto double DIN. Otherwise I'm going to have a screen that will essentially only be used for back up camera.

I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on a truck, but I'm trying to figure out the price range. I could find something that works well from $12,000 - $28,000. I don't really want to spend anywhere near 28K, but am keeping it in the options. Top contenders are F150 with 3.5L or 5.0L. I really prefer the 3.5 with the snails, I forgot what public opinion is here. I know that in most reviews, drivers prefer the 3.5 except for the "rumble" of the V8 GM is in the loop, but the sub 2015 interior is really off putting. I could get into a '15 if I sacrificed some of the higher end amenities. The only one I really care about is a center console. The rest I could take or leave, in general, but IIRC higher end models keep value much better. As far as audio is concerned, it looks like you are fairly stuck with a 2012-2014 F150. I'd really like to integrate Android Auto if possible.
