well upon more listening and really turning up the volume this box sounds like ass. time to salvage some screws and chuck the theng the fack out! back to the old box. and today with the old box i took my car to get the remote car starter fixed the installer looked me in the eye and said fudge thats loud. i was like what? he said your system is pucking loud. you could be louder if you could get the trunk to stop warbling... yeah ive never herd warbeling either. it kinda combines war and bling to form a whole new word!

NONE! just clean bass.

and there is a larger story behind why i got these drivers and the price i paid for them but i cant say any of it because steve will get mad at me.

i was also into the pete fad for a while lol. that kinda ended. my car right now has a very limited space in the trunk, and i like the look of 2 drivers. i know i should be able to be louder with one driver, but where is the fun in that! oh and i made the box like this because my trunk rattles like a bitch. when i was running them at 1 ohm of the saz1500, with a 7 cubic foot total box tuned to 29 hz. HOLY CHIT for being clarion it was loud.

the motor or mags thm selfs have nothing to do really with the impedence of the voice coils. you should essentially be able to recone it with any ohm rating you were loking for. and it may be a 2 ohm vc with a Re of 1.4 according to a dmm. but i dont think there is a way to "tool" a motor to get a different impedence, only tooling around with the vc.

do new and crt go in the same sentance?

well i really have no other reason for going with them other then i know nobody else who has them. and if i ask you who do you know that has them? i really dont know anyone running them, and i know they are not going to be the loudest subs in the world by any means but it is really all i could afford at the time. and still is all i can really afford. when more money comes i will most likley upgrade to something big! then the 7 cubes at 29 hz might come in handy for some other subs

it is 4 cubes, sealed up and i have to say im loving hearing the bass rather then the sound of my trunk rattling. its so much nice. its definatly not as loud as 7 cubes at 29 hz, which clarion actually suggested 29.9 at 3.5 cubes per driver for spl so i was close. but hey i have 2 boxes.

i hate the fack out of the current box i have because the dam thing makes my trunk rattle so fackin loud. i saw a bunch of these boxes being made by numerous pwople ane thought why the hell not... i shall have a go. so here is what i came up with. i didnt use any paper or plan this box out really i know fatal flaw lol.
