if you do not get any bass at all out of one subwoofer i would say that you got screwed and i would go back and bitch and complain untill they change the install around for you. go back and ask why you did not get a ported box, you asked for a ported box, WHERE THE chit IS MY PORTED BOX. thats about what i would do but since i build all my own enclosures i get pissed off at myself and try it again. you should really try making your own boxes, its good fun and is real easy to learn. you pay less, you save, and you pay less, what more could you ask for.

well do you get any bass at all?

wtf, where is teh woofer porn?

2 12's is more then enough for someone who is not a bass head. hell with 2 10's and that box size tuned to 32 hz would do more then enough justice for you with that amount of powa.

well here is how i see it... its the install. first off if it sounds like ass it could be because each sub is pounding differently, like backwards. try just hooking up one sub to see if it hits hard at all. if one sub hits hard and both do not their is definitly a problem with the install.

ok well im in a bit of a tight squeeze. My car is old and i am unsure how long it will be running for, it might go for a year it might go for 7 more i dont know. So i am looking at cutting my old alt out of the question and putting a battery bank, well sort of in the trunk of my car. Im looking into prices and i could get 2 red top batts from wally world for the price of one g31 yellow top. The red tops are about 800cca, g35 i believe, where as the g31 is 1000+cca. now my question is which is the better alternative. running 2 batts i was thinking would help keep the voltage up but i am unsure of this because i know nothing about batterys. Or the other alternative is i could get 3-4 purple haze batts from crappy tire for the rough price of 3 red tops. Which is the better option to go with because a new alt is out of the question because if the car dies soon atleast i can take the batts to my next car, where as the honda alt needs to stay with the honda car . any tips or tricks are very much appreciated, and i am working slowly on the big 3 as i have 2 of the 3 lines ran, i just need to add the batt to alt connection. 1) go with one good batt under the hood. 2)keep the stock batt and just stick 2 red tops in the trunk. 3) get a bunch of chitty crappy tire batts and just let er wang. which option would you choose?

well i dont think its possible yet to strap 4 amps togeather. to strap 2 amps you should just go to the sundown thread as i believe jacob gives a very detailed way to strap his amps which i believe strapping them is about the same. or you could just pm flakko or w/e because he is the this forums mod.

canadian car audio website is now a waste of time. nobody goes there to answer questions, just to bash anyone who is not spl and anyone who does not run dd, or atomic, or american bass.

that guy is a tool. every fact they state is always changing. it was my amp that they got to do the testing on both the gain and bass boost were off when i got it back. the ohm loa they gave it at 15.8v float was ~1.5 which if my math fails me is not 1 ohm. so rated power at higher then an ohm. idn what they are bitching about. price to watt ratio its cheaper then anything i have found in retail stores around here. everywhere its about 98C a watt.

can you tell us more about your install?

as you must have known i was kidding about the whole chrome thing. performance > bling. can you give us some size specs such as mounting depth and such? or did that already pop up in this thread?

subs and ports to the front is usually the loudest for a trunked car just so their is less air space to pressurize. and if you face both towards the lid it will break stuff.

whats the system tuned to? -
chrome and db's go hand in hand. i mean look at brands like audio pipe. i cant remember if it was the tso or the tsv but that think could be seen from space with that much chrome. and my guess is its loud as chit.
