New Video up.....just minding my own business then......
platnum accord replied to meade916's topic in General Fi
dam steve you almost sound as gd up as those two guys lol. aaight coo coo. -
as a check take the sub out and touch a 9V battery to each voice coil and see if anything happens. if the dc voltage from the battery does not make the sub move then you must have blown something on the sub be it a lead wire or the voice coil. another way to check for a burnt out vc is to lightly push on the dircet center of the sub or evenly on both sides to see if you can feel any rubbing or scraping from a loose or blown vc wire as the cone and vc parts move up and down..

ship them up to canada so i can blow them up!

well i have a box for my clarion subs already fabbed up, but it looks like someone wants to buy them, so i was wondering if roughly 3 cubes at 29 hz, with power from a 1500d sundown will sound half decent or atleast better then the c-rons i have now? the box can not go any bigger with out not being able to get it in and out of my trunk. 2 15's at 3 cubes 7.8 cubes external box volume :S and it can be taken out with alot of work lol. oh and im looking at getting 2 if the total price of them shipped to canada is less then 1000 bucks lol.

Which coil wiring setup should I use?
platnum accord replied to cx-7heaven's topic in Advanced Discussion
wired in series changes the bl force of the driver which helps a little when it comes to the lows, i noticed that when i changed around my clarions, i had less power, went from about 1500Wrms to something like 500Wrms and it seemed to have way better low end to my ears. -
the whole west rules thing got destroyed by all the douches from alberta on cca.ca

DO IT NOW lol. not that i have money now but by time they come out i hope i do as i will either be really interested in a dual 1 or single 2 setup as my sundown amp does full power at 1 ohm, plus i love the ability of a sub wired in series to just slaughter the lows, atleast thats how it seemed to me as i changed from 1 ohm parallel to 4 ohm series with my clarions. 12 - 20hz was nice.

Major Noise Issue
platnum accord replied to Porchpup's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
if you had no noise before the new control was installed try to take it out and see if the nois goes away? if the nois goes away you have already narrowed down the problem to it being what you just installed. i would see if another main power wire and a different ground clear up the problem first. where does the majority of the nois come from? are you running a sub stage and can you hear it through there? or are you just running mids/highs and the noise is coming through there? -
any amp that can do between 3-4000Wrms at either 1 or 0.5 ohm sooo...... sundown saz3000d's.
-
yeah alberta sucks.
-
oh and ps the duct tape should be around the edges of the sub too

there is always somwhere full of these little 16 year old "thugs" that are soo much cooler on the net. no matter what it is or who you are someone out there is going to bash it. take youtube for example it could be a video of like your family reunion someone is going to call you all soe sort of names because they are so tough. its like whats going on with the world today, someone wants to fight you and they end up bringing some sort of weapon and about 30 people to the fight. nobody has any respect anymore, i hate the younger generation. but anyways i wanna see some numbers lol.

He is the words of advice i love to live by... well now since its soo true. Dont build a system for everyone else, Build it for yourself. What sounds good to you is all that matter and those other fudges dont know chit.
-
it all depends on the woofer.

So today ryan allowed me the use of his TL and holey chit i was really suprised at the results. well first off if you have fallowed this build at all haha, spl is not even close to written near this build. Box is facing the trunk for one thing, Its tuned to 29hz for another point, and finally im running clarion for subwoofers. Like if those factors did not kill the spl in this build lol im not sure what did? well i forget to get a video as my I.q. is minimal haha. but it was pretty impressive to say the least, well to me it was. 45hz was the highest test tone i had on the cd and i managed.... drumm roll please a 139.9 Yeah 0.1 db shy of the number i was looking for lol but still good 45hz = 139.9 44hz = 139.8 or something close to that but what was really impressive if i recall right was 21hz was in the 134 area. 34hz was 136.X i know this is not that huge for having 2 15's in the trunk of an accord but damn man my car is made out of the worlds thinnest sheet metal haha. RYAN from your memory if you ever read this post try to kinda double check my numbers as i know i am a dumbass and should have taped the whole thing. HAHA CLARION FTQ (for the quiet lol!)

so just came in the mail.... 2 15's soon to come is a saz1500d. so here are some pictures or random chit as it happens i guess.... thats all i got.
-
since this is a forum and its not possible for us to come out and personally hear your system you should ask around here and see if there is someone close to you who possibly has the time to help you out. im sure someone thats willing to do so, if you post up your local, will come out and help you out.

i voted 2 12's because you have soo soo soo much more room for amps and look good accessorys. and plus ported ownz.(i like ported boxes way more then sealed ones)
