    3/4" MDF 2.0 cubes for 15"?

sealed i'm guessing? if so, yes that's perfect.
  2. Is a JL 500/1 be enough power to really pound my mag 15'' D2? Also is there any other amps with comparable features/sq as the 500/1 for a less price and maybe a few more watts? I really like the 500/1 and have got many positive reviews. Does anyone have a birthsheet on one of these puppies?

    Magnum's are coming......

a few questions for ya nick: Will the people who preordered first get their mags shipped out first? When can we plan on receiving our mags (specifically the 15's)? Will 2.37 cubes sealed before displacement sealed be a good enclosure for the 15''? thank you Nick for the update.

    Magnum's are coming......

What's the reason for the drivers being 2 weeks later than expected? I don't care because that's about the same time i'll have my box done so it doesn't matter but i'm just wondering.

    low end comparison

you wont be getting much of an advantage by going with a birch box though. I dont know why you would want to spend more on something that isn't going to be any better than mdf. any install i've EVER seen used mdf except for snail shell boxes. go with mdf definitely, your dad may be a contractor but I don't know many contractors that specialize in subwoofer box making. listen to the people on here they'll steer you straight.

    IB???

how is this beneficial? and how would you secure the sub so it doesn't bump all over the place in the trunk?

    amp for D2 15''

I'm really stuck on this guys please help me out. Which amp do you think would make a really good pairing with the magnum 15''? I want to keep it under 1000 watts so there is no need to upgrade electrical. My budget is $450 and under preferably under 400 though. I've been looking at soundstream rubicon series and the tarantula series T700W amp what do you think of these two amps? Also for cheaper maybe a hifonics 1000W? I'm really stuck please just give me some suggestions to look into thank you very much.

    amp for D2 15''

Do you think a single PPI A600 could really push the mag 15''? I can find the PPI pretty cheap on ebay, I just don't want a lousy amp that isn't going to push the mag. But if your PPI benchtested at 8XX then that's perfect for what I am looking for.

Oops, didn't see your post Nick sorry. That's okay I'm too cheap for a $30 shirt hah. What about a window sticker for free?

    amp for D2 15''

I would definitely get a PPI arts but the most watts they can put out is their A600 which puts out 600 watts rms. I don't know if that's enough to really push the 15'' how I want it. Maybe it is?

    amp for D2 15''

The only worry I have with the SS rub is that it's a class a/b amp. I've heard it's much better to have a class D amp for subs ..not sure though. Any help on that? Also what about arc audio, I've heard great reviews on these amps. What models would give me the power needed (600-1000) watts? Is there any other amps I shoul look into? Also, how is the visonik for an SQ application? thanks for the help denim:).

    amp for D2 15''

I was definitely considering the PG tantrum, but I really want to stay away from that many watts because my electrical system isn't that great. I'd like to keep my amp under 1000 rms if possible. What do you think of the soundstream rubicon 1000W amplifier? I was thinking maybe a SS or perhaps a PPI art series A600. Denim if you could give me some insight on those amps that would be helpful, and any others you think would work well with the mag 15''. thank you very much.

    15" d2 vs 15" treo ss..ssx

well for the price of one treo ssx or whatever it was if you say it was $900 than you could get 3 magnum 12'' D2's. now i've never heard a treo ssx but i'm sure they are great drivers being they are 900 bux, but three mags will walk all over it IMO. sq: the mags are phenominal and are the best sounding woofers i've heard (only the W7 comes close). spl: ridiculously loud which is just a byproduct. go to www.caraudio.com go to the forum section and do a search and just read some of the testimonials. get a couple d2's 15'' or 12'' doesn't really matter port them to around 32hz and you'll have one hell of a setup as long as they're getting the proper amount of watts anywhere's from 600-1400 a piece. good luck.

    Thanx SI

absolutely i agree 100%. Nick is an awesome guy with an awesome company. SI really sets the standard by which companies should be ran. He helped me with basically my whole setup which only consisted of one of his products. Most companies would try to sell me nothing but their products, not Nick and SI. I will definitely return for business (hopefully for some 307's:)) thnx Nick and SI.
