when the new woofers come out..will they be accompanied by SI's speakers? I am interested in some 307 comps, but it was just a thought that popped up. Also is there any other products SI is planning on releasing soon..anything at all?

well about a week ago my 15' mag started to play periodically. this has continued and every morning it turns on for about five seconds then turns off for a couple minutes then back on and so on throughout the day it will turn on and off periodically. nothing is wrong with the connections and i know it's not the sub or it wouldn't be playing. i assume it's something to do with the amp which is an audison srx 650 watt amp. is it clipping or what and do i need to return this amp to it's authorized dealer or what please help somebody.

troubleshooting? please expand and give me some things I could check by myself and where they would be located...please keep in mind I have never installed nor do I have any knowledge about installation of this stuff so be as detailed as possible. If you need to know what wire or anything like that just ask as I do know that much. Help is greatly appreciated guys thanks.

so none of you think it's a problem with the amp?....shows how much the best car audio shop near me knows...they said it is a problem with the amp. should i just have them check all connections and everything since they installed everything?

hoss [and anyone else who has heard both], do you prefer the sound of a magnum ported (to say 30hz) or a 2.0 cu ft. (somewhere in the area) sealed enclosure both with say 650 watts?

1200 watts?.... i saw the wall but i thought for sure you had 2kw+ to hit 150. but dam 1200? that musta been one sick wall.

i know it was a lot but exactly how much? i would guess 800 maybe 1k?

very clean install i like it. i'm tempted to build me a ported box myself. right now my 15'' mag is sealed in about 2 cubes what kinda difference of output am i lookin at say 3 cubes 30 hz?

I'm saving up for one as we speak. Figure since i'm only 16 i'll be able to get enough for the down payment and whatever by the time i'm in college. Will be able to get about 8-10k out of my maxima and I can earn about 2k over the next three summers. Should be one hell of a fun time in that evo with the mag.

if your alt is stock then how do you plan on sending any decent amount of wattage to the subs? you need to send like 1200 + to each of those bad boys to really tear it up. and from the little that i know i dont think any stock alt is going to be able to support 4800 watts. maybe i'm reading something wrong but that's just my opinion.

did you ever hear back from him? if so, what did he say? i currently have some utopias paired with a 15 mag but i'm very interested in the SI comps any info would be appreciated.

okay i dont know about the rest of you, but i love hearing stories about how 'x' sub blew my friends away or my co-workers. the 'x' sub in this case will definitely be the magnum. so just post what you have accomplished or what other people have said after hearing it. i'll start. yesterday was the first time i've really let anyone see/hear my 15'' mag. the first words out of my friend's mouths were "holy chit that thing is massive". then they were all that thing moves soooo damn fast it's crazy! i've never seen a sub move faster than that. good stuff. post away people!

do 8's reproduce any vocal frequencies or just a higher sub frequency?

Nick/anyone who has heard SI components please tell me how they compare (SQ) to other high end component sets like the focal utopia, k2p, cdt, etc.

i have my utopias (5.25'') in the doors but i'm not sure if i can add midbass drivers. how do i find that out? i'm not limited to a 5'' driver, i mean the depth of the utopia's required a spacer but it still fit. i'm not sure how i would go about fixing this problem, perhaps i need a set of 6.5s or something along those lines. or maybe i just need a quality 8'' for midbass. as long as the depth isn't too steep i should be fine. someone please explain the difference between midbass and midrange i always thought they were the same. thanks for the help.

VERY VERY interresting. i might need to take out these utopias and maybe go for a pair of SI. Nick which set would work the best for me, i have 170 x 2 @ 4 ohms to work with and i NEED to have some midbass? the focals just aren't cutting it in that department like i thought they would. i would like to keep the same sound quality that the utopia's have but with more midbass basically.

i dont know whether it's the only 600 watts going to my 15'' magnum or whether it's the 5.25 speakers that i have but something is missing. and i think it may be the midbass. if this 8'' will be pretty easy to power and will add the missing link to my music i would definitely be interrested in buying.
