I need 1 to start
-
Man your really pushing that amp to the limits. Seems like its taking the abuse and putting out way more than the rated 3000 watts so Jacob release the bad boys ASAP. I need the efficiency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JK I know its not that easy or you'd had them here already.

i think i uderstand now, straped/bridged i need 4 ohms to make 2 on the amps? so i would need to just run 1 amp per sub at 1 ohm correct? Each sub is a d2 so wire each sub in series to make 4 ohms. Then run them parallel to make a final ohm load of 2 ohms. Strap the 1000Ds and they will see a 1 ohm load. According to the specs. you should get 2000 watts to the subs.

Strap the amps wired at 2 ohms and the amps will see 1 ohm each.

Jacob has A+ customer support. Try emailing him I can almost promise that you will get a response within hours. Also Rockford with 1 year factory warrenty from crutchfield $499 2 Sundown 1000d's with 2 years warrenty for $450. 1000 watts vs 2000+ watts as Sundown amps usually puts out a little more than rated. Its not rocket science. I'd go Sundown any day. Never been much of a fan of Rockford. OVER PRICED.

Dang there goes the plan for 24 Sundown Integrety 12's and 4 3000D's!!!!!!!! JK!!!!!!!!

Are you going to the Funk Master Flex show in louisville derby weekend? I'm building a box for my Trailblazer since it is a heck of alot louder for driveby.

Great Job Rob!!!!!!!!! The fuses are killing me. Plus my broken windshield. With 1- 15 and 2 1500D's I was doing a 150.6 at the headreast then I attempted to sat on my windshield to brace. When I burped it I damn near fell through. Won first place in M2 -149.2 and DB2 119.9 at E-townlast weekend.

Might have to pick up two of these and a 1000D to daily bang.

X2

Fuse are rated at 32 volts. So 160 x 32= 5120

Looks good!! Any better idea as to when they will be released?
-
I really like that one. Except change the wife to the ladies.

Any info at all or pictures of the subwoofers? Is there gonna be a 15?

I have to say I am very impressed. You'll have to come out with some comp. speakers along with the subs to complete the line.

600 watts will be around a 0.6 dB difference in an ideal situation in this case. With power compression figured in then you might see 0.3 dB difference between 2 ohm strapped and 1 ohm strapped. You can strap them at 1 ohm if you want... plenty of people do. But like I said, the gain is minimal and you won't notice much difference other than increased electrical draw unless this is for competition and those few tenths will matter -- you most certainly won't be able to tell with your ears. Oh the electrical system draw would be far from a problem.....Im just wondering if they would hold up on daily usage strapped @1ohm? So if I wanted to strap @1ohm.....I would need dual 1ohm subs series'd right? Making 1ohm when they are together. So Im understanding now....whatever load u send to the amp it will be half of that ohm load per amp. So if Im strapping them @1ohm each amp is really @0.5ohm? Im cool with the extra power draw though, I want as much out of em as possible You got it. When you strap them take the ohm load that they are wired at and divide it by 2. I don't think you will be dissappointed with this amp. They perform great and they sound good. Needless to say these amps are very underated on power.

SPL test, 2 1500d and 16v, mic at headrest

I have a full 16v setup and 4 shocker sig 15s. Still a very impressive score. It is very hard to get high numbers at the headrest, well atleast for me. You've been loud for years. -

That score is off of 2 1500D's?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you tried it on fuses? Best I have gotton off of 2 is 149.9 @ the head with 1 15" sub. Still have alot more tuning to do. I plan on buying 1 more kinetic 2400 and an HO adjustable voltage alt within the next month or so that should help my score some. -
1-15 a 100 amp Fuse 2 Sundown 1500D's 149.2 @ Headrest

Just thought I would post some pictures of my 1500D's. I did 149.2DBs with 2 Sundown 1500D's on an 100 amp fuse. The sub used was an Atomic APX. The score was at the headrest. Without fusing during my clinic I did 149.9DBs. All in all very impressed with the amps can't wait to get 2 more. I didn't have much time to test before the show but I believe with a little more tuning I'll be over a 150 at the head. The 149.1 was the second day.
