Ouch.. Bottom row of my enlcosure is only 6" deep. Maybe I will look into the SD-1 V2. Really wanted to do 4- 18" Nightshades later but this build is becoming so much work I aint pulling it out for a while. Any idea as to when the 12" model of the Sd-1 V2 will release?

What would the mounting depth be?

Good job. Can't wait to get back in the lanes.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. I was thinking of the third for efficiency. I'd only be able to have 120 amps of fusing.
-
Undecided on amps still going back and forth between the 1500's and 3000D's. Thinking about trying 2- 3000D's at .66. If the subs don't struggle to much I will try 3 3000D's at 1 ohm each. Nope not gonna paint a car that was bought just for SPL.

Glad to hear the score. Putting 24 of the 12's in a clamshell in my van.

I never blew fuses with 2 -3000D's and 8 - 10 amp agus. They were wired at 2 ohm each. My MT's was pounding but the fuses never gave. Beated on them for ever after my last pass at Meca world finals and a couple of days showing out at home before I pulled everything out of my explorer. My neighbor that I was demoing for wife called him and asked what was going on the house is shaking. We was a block away. Very efficient amps.

Those were not bad scores considering all engines were off and most of the guys were Ameratures with only one battery. Keep in mind all was done on fusing to. I think Jermey was allowed 80 amps of fusing. With the car off and something he through together just for the show. He did a respectable number. I saw him testing with the car off doing a 149 something. I believe he got over a 150 with the car on. When I pull the van out I hope to be over a 155 at the headrest and tapping close to a 130 in Driveby on 120 amps of fusing. -
His class prevents him from doing so. I had planned to have the 2000D out by then but rapidly rising demand has forced me to invest my capital in more inventory of existing products rather than new product development for right now. Makes more sense, the 1500Ds are selling like hot cakes. If the 2000D is introduced there would almost be no need for the 1500D.

As long as I stay into car audio Sundown will be a part of me. I loved my 1500's from the first time I powered them up. Then I upgraded to the 3000's and I loved them just as much. Just find someone local with sundown in the vehicle and make your own decision. You will be surprised.

What ohm is the L5's? You don't want to run the 1000D under 1 ohm. Hopefully you have dual 4's.

Andy you should have told me that you were coming. I have chatted with you several times on the net and you have bought some of my used equipment. Would have been nice to put a face with the name. Ricky -

Not to trying to jack your thread Jermey but i see it pointless to make a new thread since you already have one. There was three other guys there with sundown amps. Brad Lofton AS3 145.4 2nd Place 2 15" L7 and 2 SAZ1500D's Larry (CornBread) AS1 140.2 1st Place 1 15" L7 and a SAE1000D Marcus Wilson AS2 143.3 1st Place 2 12" L7 and 1 1500D All in all the AS guys from Team Blackout and Carsille Acoustics cleaned up taking the 1st and second place slots in AS. Good luck to all and I will have my van at the first E-town show if I can find time away from work. -
If my buddy has any more material I will have him make you one. I don't charge for them, I do it to support Sundown. Sundown has been good to me. Jacob!!! However if I have to ship it I would ask that you pay the actual shipping. Jacob sign me up for a 4XL t-shirt. I think you should keep it simple and do black shirts with Sundown Audio in gray like the amps.

Man where did you get such a nice Decal? I heard there was a really nice guy that gave a few of them away.

I went from a wall to a flat box in 30 minutes. Also check out the card board. LMAO

Wish me luck. I have been so busy at work this week that I just started rebuilding last night. Still got to hook up my amps and batteries then its time to test. I have 9 people in my M2 class and 5 in my DB2 class. If the build comes out as good as I hope I should be bringing home a couple of six ft trophies.

About to head out to MECA world finals!!

Well I am the world champ for Drive By 2 with a 123.3 and I took 2nd for Modified 2. I rolled into it to fast and blew my fuse. I did a 152.7 the first day and would have done a 153.3 had I not rolled the volume to fast. I got beat with a 152.7 ain't that a bitch. I should of went for the win but I wanted to set the bar high and ended up getting my ass kicked. OuCHHHHH. I'll know better next year. -

Placed first today with a 152.7 at the headrest. Lost a half db tuning today. Hopefully when my batts are fully charged I will get it back. -

I know of two more guys off top from KY running Sundown amps. Well heading out the door. Just tested and the numbers are close to what I was shooting for without any tuning. I will do some tuning tomorrow and we will see what happens. I have more saws and MDF packed in my explorer than stereo equipment. Will have pics of a one day wall when I get back. Who says its has to be pretty to be loud. Foam Foam Foam. -
Good luck hope to see you at a show. I have a couple of guys planning on being in AS2 and AS3 next year. Both using Sundown amps.
