help me understand wiring
evandostert posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Ok I just got an audio pipe 1300 amp it's a 2 channel amp. If I wire it two the outside + and - and hook it up to a 4 ohm single coil sub will that show as a 2 ohm load bridged and give it 600 watts or read it as 1 ohm and 300 watts?? -
I managed to become confused. How do you wire a cap to your amp??

I am waiting for a new kinetic battery. under back seat Uploaded with ImageShack.us and behind my pioneer Uploaded with ImageShack.us Yes I turned on the subwoofer feature on the deck

You do want to keep the vents. There are a few possibilities. The easiest is to see if you have enough clearance to add some closed cell foam at the contact points. If you're lucky, they'll open and close as they did before, but won't make any noise. The second possibility is building a baffle that will let air pass through and reduce the sound. Going to be more difficult and hard to hide. Passenger side causes most of the issues. Thats the one to block off. -
Uploaded with ImageShack.us What should I do with the back wall??? Do I remove the Grey stuff or soundproof under it? What products are indeal for this? I am going to be installing a single 10" sub in this truck Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Slightly better results. I turned up the bass setttings on the H/U I never touched anything from the amp. I am assuming I should tweak that next.

Ok this is my truck. I posted it here before. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I just started the basics I shaved my xm and onstar off the roof. I installed a factory second battery and dual optimas. Looking into dual alternator bracket. installed a pioneer head unit with steeling wheel controls and bose amp interface Uploaded with ImageShack.us I tore out my back seat and am adding a sub. Trying to see what and where I can fit everything. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I finally found my wind noise it was the stupid cab vents. I am looking into soundproofing options. After much searching I have decided to use an adhesive a little like the sds site and cover it with gorilla tape over the wires. I am gonna use a pack of cld tiles and put the factory stuff back in covered by a rubber mat and marine vinyl in black. Uploaded with ImageShack.us What a mess I am into at this point.

So I got a box off ebay. Omg yes I did it. I am looking at it. Fits well looks good it's solid but the inside shows a different story. My speaker cups have huge gapr around them where air can escape. The glue is not thick or sealing the box very well. No I am not building a new one. a few questions. 1= What would you use to reglue it from the inside?? 2= What would you cover the terminal holes with?? 3= what are you installing the speaker with??

I run a 150 shot. Yes it responds super smooth and I can spray right off the line. AWD keeps it planted the tires squeel but have never ever broken free. I have a wot trigger and remote opener and warmer going on it. That was my interest in the 12 volt stuff and lead me here. I want to reinstall it and have it fully automated trigger to turn on. Gentlemans NOS to give you an idea. So I am looking up installing relays a new progressive controller blah blah. I had it wide band tuned and it's safe and effective. Runs a tad rich on the wet side. I will post my drag run and time slips. So no one declares B.S. I run great times. Drag circles talk trash and like to call people out for no reason. Internet dragsters if you will. I have every bolt on possible built tranny stall converter to much to even list here. This truck is my daily work vehicle So I need safe fast and reliable.

JB weld. Tape off the paint and get a syringe to inject it. Thats what boat forums suggest on hull voids with epoxy

I figured out the easy way is to add height with washers then I am having a bracket machined out. What do I do with these cab vents?? They are in the way of my soundproofing and amp rack??
