When I order another Q18 will it have this change? If so can I retrofit this to my old sub to? Sorry to thread jack
-
look @ my sig. I love it, so no problem with your amp unless you're going with a BTL for power reasons
-
my Q18 has insane excursion, but its in a sealed arangement
-
my Q is 34 and almost the exact same thing
-
I agree ^^^^^^^^^^^

one 1500 seems fine to me with 2 10s
-
is that over 90 sq in of port total?
-
whats your electrical setup ie alt batts etc
-
Yes, i'd be interested, i'm just worried about price though. I will just go with the 1500 in that case. I'd love a 2k though, maybe a presale can take place when I have the money

Mine is a low end monster and sounds great, but doesn't like anything above 50hz. But thats my trade off I like to go low. Not to bad on output considering it's sealed and bounces my wipers a little. The 15 ported would no doubt have more output though. Eventually I want 1 more sealed. In the mean time Im going to put mine in a big ported box and see what happens

Any updates on the 2000d yet?

what does the 100.2 put out @ 12v & 14.8v @ 4ohm per channel?
-
I know not all are created equal, but will the RF 1/0 4700+ strand wire fit like it does in my power T series amp?
-
look @ my sig

what model is the alpine? mine dosen't have that problem nor has it skipped yet

Personally, I don't even think you'd be able to tell the difference unless you've had prior experience with one. And even then I would be hard pressed to think you could tell the difference, even if you tested both styles in the same enclosure. Remember, this is my educated guess and is not bound to any profesional advise.

Keep the old box too, just incase you dont like how the new one sounds

I agree with JimJ. I'm doing just that. Look @ my sig, I have the same set-up and couldn't be happier.

Ok so I have this in a 6.0 cubic ft sealed box [ 5.75 net after displacement ] and I must say, the pictures and videos online do no justice compared to being in the presents of these fine, sound & pressure making monster machines!!! I appologize if that sounded ridiculous but I couldn't contain myself. This thing is a beast in person. Took a good deal of muscle just to pull it out of the box. It literally dwarfs anything else I've owned previously, which includes other 18'' subs. I was optimistic about being impressed with my choice but, It has clearly graduated that plateau. Short music listen: I started with some low volume demos of Slim Thug, UGK, Pastor Troy, Young Buck, and of course some snowman (Jeezy). I had to keep it short and sweet due to drawing too much attention my way via car rattling heavilly and nosy people in my area. I havent even been able to up the volume far enough yet to get the cone pushing serious air. The cone is barely moving and is impressing the heck outa me. It's Saturday evening, so I'm going to cruise out to city limits spots away from town and open it up to see how she wangs! I will update periodically to see how it performs when the suspension loosens up a bit. Sorry for no vids or pictures yet as I am still without my digital cam. I'll try to borrow one from a friend if possible though.

Scott, has this been processed yet? I'm curious as to what the status is. Wonder if it got lost in the mail or something? Has me a little worried now.
