No problems w/mine. It gets pushed hard and I've never bottomed it out or smelled coil. This thing is tough
-
What happened to the Q that you speak about? I pound on my 18Q 1 hour strait twice a day without problems.

No doubt, 2700 would be awesome from the 1500

Hmmmm, very interesting to say the least. Only seems possible on the most extreme situation though. Maybe too much tolerance on the measuring equipment itself.

The Big 3 Help
lee replied to cjosisek90's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Actually, the alternator only puts out what is required from it until it cant supply any more above its ability then the battery starts to discharge aswell. e.g. at idle if no other loads are presented to the alt and you clamp the output wire, i've seen well under 20 amps. This is due to the battery being the only difference of potential. Output at idle can be under 10 amps especially if the battery is over 75% charge or { 12.45v }. -
props for throwing in some real subs in a video
-
cant wait for those
-
check excessive amperage
-
Not as extreme as you think. 33 for good output everywhere, 30 for more authority down lower

I'm shure you've heard about the '' Solar ES5000 '' battery box then. Something magic about it. That's what I used to start our Kenworth. My boss said, '' no way that thing will start this truck'' as he stands there when I do it he gives me that you showed me up look sorry for thread jack

That's because we told you how to wire it up, and you went ahead an did it in parallel which put it at a 1/2 ohm load and now the amp is in protect mode. That amp is only stable down to 1ohm nominal ( final load ). You better hope the amp can be reset cuz most of the time it's game over. Ignorance doesn't get you very far in car audio, except a very steep learning curve. You might want to listen to people who have the experience when you ask for help, other wise you're wasting time & $. -
vids in the near future?
-
What are the differences? Let me in on the true details. What do they share & what makes the unique to each other
-
Can someone tell me the differences and what all goes about these processes
-
How much output did you lose going sealed?

Refurbished,reconditioned

So is it safe to say the internal workings of the amp are put back to specs or close to it and the cosmetics are the same as they were when it came in for repair? -

If I was you I'd wire the subs coils in series for a 2ohm nominal load producing around 1000 WRMS for a stable cool amp all day long -
cuz its a low end monster
-
whats the tuning and volume?

I heard about this and was curious as to have it explained and confirmed if possible

^^^^ Nothing, I think Scott was testing a new option but I dont know if it is going to make it to an official option yet

I know about bp power, I'm asking about BR power. I was hoping Scott would enlighten us or if it has not proved beneficial thus far
