I have always used 1 5/8 inch coarse drywall screws, just make sure you don't tighten them soo much that you strip the wood apart. I will be looking into doing something different, but haven't found a product that will work as i wan it to.

nothing wrong with cardboard and resin

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NJJJ2KCMoo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQsBSD2ULn4 Here are my two youtube videos, and i know the sub sounds like crap, the first video was done for easter, the second was to show me beating the piss out of my subs, which sounds soo bad b/c the dustcap started coming off of the sub and was vibrating against the sub.

Street A in dB drag is one 12", two 10" or 3 8" woofers, and one amp (or two strapped mono blocks), one battery under-hood, car off, no walls, etc etc... Crx's rule street A, but i dont have the funds to buy a car right now, until i finish paying off my loans, so for next year i should have a crx.

I am looking at getting a 12" Fi Btl, Dual 2 ohm vc sub. I will be using it for street-A as well as daily use. It will be powered by a pair of Saz-1500d's until I get a pair of saz-3000d's. What options should i get? I am thinking p chamfer, x-max and 3rd magnet and daily tolerance. Also, putting this in the trunk of a neon, floating around a couple of ideas for getting it loud. What box size/ port size would you recommend for going loud. I am thinking about sealing the box into the passenger compartment, (as in off from the trunk) to reduce the amount of air it is trying to move, port forward, sub forward. Is this a good idea or should i just stick with sub back port forward.

more port area, like 106- 128 sq inches, and keep the tuning at 32hz, round port corners, more bracing.

Just blew the dustcap off, here is the link to my special presentation for easter! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NJJJ2KCMoo

I get them from Audio Obsessions, which is located practically in my back yard. ANY shop that carries Audison should have access to hertz products, or a rep for Audison, as they are owned by the same company.

personally i don't even waste my time anymore. I am only 20, and i once was a sony xplod cruiser (when i was 16, car came with it, took it out in less than 1 day!. If you want to know why his sub has soo much "excursion" maybe its because his subs suspension is like jello, and the paper (looks like it anyways) cone is wicked light, making his woofer efficient at the expense of power hanling.

I know i have a DD m1 that i will most likely be selling after i get it fixed, that does like 1200 watts @ 13.8 volts.

Hey jacob, what about running a pair strapped with just a kinetik 2400, car not running for 30 seconds... I know i am going to have issues with running a pair of 3000'ds full tilt at .5 each amp, so i think i will just run the 3000d's @ 1 ohm each.

most likely to get the most current possible, and the fact that it is an all out spl monster that would require something like 8 40 amp fuses! My only problem is going to be finding an in-line fuse big enough for it!
-
The hardest hitting notes are 40-70 hz normally. The lower the frequency, the lower the speed of cone movement etc... A sub sonic filter is just there to keep the sub from getting unlinear. You won't notice the missing 10 or so hz much at all.

for some reason i am in love with pressed paper cones in mid-bass's, it sounds good, it is highly efficient, and relatively strong weight to strength ratio. Of course i am biased by my favorite set of components which are Hertz Space k8l components.
-
I would look into Hertz components, they are amazing and not too expensive.

Check the sig for updates. Waiting for Saz-1500d 1 of 2, and some knukonceptz wiring. Will do a build log once i get the rest of my wiring in, and secondskin. 2007 set-up should be complete (including sax-100.4 and hertz space k8l components) by July.

Chrysler is working on getting the price down to below that of a Saleen mustang, I just hope they don't cheapen it too much. Personally I think this car will be a huge success, have seen the concept in person and its amazing. Can't wait till i get mine!

The reason for the change is that I don't have the finances to buy 2 btl's for this season. Hopefully by next season i have a crx and 2 10" btl's with 2 saz-3000d's.
-
I can't stand ups doing that. I wish they would leave you a post it, and tell you to come pick it up if you aren't there. My ups guy is at least nice enough to set it in the first door, and on my porch.

I would go with a q, and a sundown sae-1000d

I would say that Sundown has some pretty awesome amps, The saz-1500 d has been tested down to an amazing .175 ohms per amp. the amp @ 1 ohm produces closer to 1800 watts. As for indestructible, email scott from fi car audio ([email protected]) and ask him out of how many BTL re-cones, has the issue been destroyed voice coils??? Now i am not comparing either product to your amps, as i was not around, have not dealt with or used the amps you have mentioned.

are you trying to say that i need to go to quizno's and over-pay for one of their subs and put it in my port when i finally get my btl?
