For competition I will be running 2 runs of 4 (one per amp), and possibly adding more later this season, or just switching to 1/0 when I switch to my new car.

I think they are over-priced and need more time on the market to find all of the bugs.

I have tested a z1 and loved it, they do crazy numbers well over their rated 3000 watts rms, but getting one from DD and getting one repaired are the hard parts.

I am building the room sometime later this year, That first dimensions were the total dimensions of my room, I will be sectioning off part of it, just haven't decided how much of it. First off, I do have a huge room, its like 38'x30'x6'2". For video I will probably be getting a 42" flat screen plasma. And I wanna run 7.1.

I love the way I have my hertz tweets set up, they are seeing about 1/4th the power of my morels and are not noticeable at all, but my soundstage is now in front of me, head-level vs. foot level.

I would like to add, that I love the way these subs sound so much I went out and bought a new set of components. Oh, and crossovers in setup #2 were sub 63 hz -24 db slope, mids 63 hz -24 db slope, tweets 3150 hz -12 db slope. I added a set of hertz deici tweets today to help resolve my sound stage being in my feet.

Suggestions are welcome, this won't be built until next year, still have to build the room and everything.

I would just do fronts as well, look into morel, mb quart, focal, DD, dls, image dynamics, hertz etc..

I love horns, and am thinking about getting a pair later on this summer instead of buying a second pair of tweets.

It sounds much better when you let the midbass do from about 60-300hz, and then cross your components over higher. Cleaner sound, because the components aren't trying to reproduce any bass at all, and it's left to speakers that can do it more accurately. That would work too, haven't decided exactly how we are gonna do it yet. This is all looking to the future, I know I compete in spl now but sq is still in my blood.

I am going to be doing 10"s in my buddies 05 roush convertible. If yours is a vert, I would stick with 10"s ported.

I am looking to run a 100.2 later on this season and throw a pair of DD w6.5's up front to handle 50-90 hz. I know I compete in spl now, but I love good clean music.
